Nah, Rondo is a terrible fit with the Wolves, they need shooting in the worst way to surround KAT, Butler & Wiggins.

Even in a bench role I don't think Rondo would be a good look, he's too similar to Rubio who is also a bad fit and may still get traded. Currently they have the MLE & Bi-annual exception, not sure what they're going to do but they need shooting badly.

They still have Rubio and Tyus Jones.

We've (briefly) argued about Rubio for a couple of seasons now, but I'll throw this out there now... if he can start the season the same way he basically ended it, there's no reason to trade him. but now there's actually more pressure for him to play on a certain level because (other than their bench) they're looking like a playoff team.

1) Add scoring&shooting/improve the bench (I think they might have also gone with Markkanen if they hadn't traded the pick)
2) Towns has to improve defensively
3) Rubio has to be consistent through the season

if these things happen on a certain level T'Wolves are looking like a playoff team

oh & as far as Rondo, doesn't make sense at all for T'Wolves, because Rubio can do pretty much everything Rondo can do (except 'dominate' the same way Rondo sometimes does) and he's a much much better FT shooter. Plus you know Rubio usually plays hard, with Rondo you never know what you get.

Thanks, breh. :salute:

I'm analyzing Luke Kennard on Draft Express. Everyone back home has that stigma about Duke stars after we drafted Singler, but dude seems like an elite shooter. What's the word? That's my last question. :jbhmm:

You're talking about the best month of his career in March? Well, he had already come crashing back to earth after that, he finished April (7 games) shooting 32% from the field and 15% from three, regression to the mean like a muthafukka.

If I had to guess, I'd say they're going to trade him to a team with space that can take his contract and try to sign someone who can actually provide some offense.

He doesn't want to admit that a player he shytted on for nearly an entire year ended up netting his team an all-star.

He can't live down the fact he said Zach LaVine was an NBDL player.
meanwhile would you even get a Bobby Portis level player for Rubio?

It seems that after 6 years of unfullfiled promise no one in the league other than Minny thinks he has any value. And rightfully so.

I'm not high on Kennard or the implications it could have for KCP too, I don't trust white American wing players, there's a clearly defined cap on how good a 6'6" white dude from Ohio can be. He's got short arms relative to height so you can pretty much throw any hope of him being a good defender right out the window, he's an elite shooter but :ld: at that pick overall.

These idiots fell for it every year only to witness Rubio average 9 points on 36% shooting next November :mjlol:

that won't change the other 2 issues I mentioned. also whoever they can get for Rubio is not gonna be better defensively :manny:

I want to trust SVG, but KCP was the first thing I thought about when the projections of Kennard coming to Detroit came up. Figured they'd surprise me, but nope....

...and now with Ball in town, I'm DEFINITELY going to be at Staples. Been listening to LaVar all year on my morning drive, but I feel like I'd be betraying myself if I became a Laker fan. Magic being at the head of it has me considering part-time status though... :patrice:

I've said it for a while now. Ricky Rubio is literally an anvil around that franchise's neck. And they seem to be the only ones that can't see it.

I would cut him outright if nobody wants to trade for him. The team played well last year when Rubio was out for a few games. I would personally like to give Tyus Jones a chance. I know he can't play defense but on offense he provides the shooting they need for spacing. And he's also not ball dominant like Rubio.
