Nah, Rondo is a terrible fit with the Wolves, they need shooting in the worst way to surround KAT, Butler & Wiggins.
Even in a bench role I don't think Rondo would be a good look, he's too similar to Rubio who is also a bad fit and may still get traded. Currently they have the MLE & Bi-annual exception, not sure what they're going to do but they need shooting badly.
They still have Rubio and Tyus Jones.
We've (briefly) argued about Rubio for a couple of seasons now, but I'll throw this out there now... if he can start the season the same way he basically ended it, there's no reason to trade him. but now there's actually more pressure for him to play on a certain level because (other than their bench) they're looking like a playoff team.
1) Add scoring&shooting/improve the bench (I think they might have also gone with Markkanen if they hadn't traded the pick)
2) Towns has to improve defensively
3) Rubio has to be consistent through the season
if these things happen on a certain level T'Wolves are looking like a playoff team
oh & as far as Rondo, doesn't make sense at all for T'Wolves, because Rubio can do pretty much everything Rondo can do (except 'dominate' the same way Rondo sometimes does) and he's a much much better FT shooter. Plus you know Rubio usually plays hard, with Rondo you never know what you get.
