how many guys actually 'become' pgs though?
its a ridiculously steep transition at the NBA level. you either a pg or you ain't 99.9% of the time.

This is way the point forward is such and important thing. Guys like him that can guard one and two and shoot have a place in this league. He projects to be a bigger Avery Bradley with him having good vision. Your right though most guys don't develop point guard skills. I wouldn't write dude off though.

Your coach said he was playing point guard. It'll be similar to how we use LeBron or Milwaukee used Giannis.

I know that but he's not gonna be thee PG for us more like a point forward..he's not gonna guard opposing teams PG is what i'm saying

Breh i've seen his highlights & its hard for me to see him guarding Kyrie/Steph/Westbrook primarily
Avery Bradley was at one point the top high school prospect in the nation, with John Wall at #2. Frank isn't near the athlete Avery is nor is he the PG that Bradley was back in college (against better competition). If Bradley couldn't make the PG transition in the NBA then you can almost guarantee that this kid with the broke ass footwork and slow first step is gonna have a hard time.
Frank shouldn't be getting near the amount of love he's seen so far. Long arms and a decent jumpshot in league where closeout speed is a luxury can't be the only thing going for a guy to get this level of hype. People are saying he's gonna be good like its a certainty. Even in workouts he struggles to put the ball on the floor. A scrappy d-leaguer can do the job people are saying Frank will be able to do. That's just not mid-lotto level value.

On the topic of point forwards.... 
That entire premise is based on the principle that your forward ballhandler immediately and consistently creates AND exploits the matchup. You're essentially loading the deck and hoping to force the defense to react abnormally.
PG vs PG, traditional, timeless who's better than who stuff doesn't apply. You can't say your broke ass PG can enjoy the same benefits of your SF on the perimeter with one of the forwards that rebounds/provides help guarding him - creating offball opportunities for everyone else on the team. It doesn't work that.
