I’ve got no problems with the early signing period. Recruiting is a year round thing, and it KEEPS stress on the coaching staffs. If you’ve got kids that are 100% committed to your program, then there’s nothing wrong with guaranteeing their spot. Obviously, you’ve got the high 4 and 5 star recruits that like the drama, and like the hat game.. and that’s fine. But if a majority of your class signs early, it allows you to put all of your resources into those last elite recruits that you’re chasing.

It's not the early period I dislike, just the timing of having it during bowl season.

This Emory recruiting is weird breh. One of the 11W writers says that he heard from a reliable source that we haven't been recruiting him for 2 months and moved on. Then we get a commitment from a qb out of Texas. With all that like 2 weeks ago Emory said he is still committed to us and he doesn't know why people think he will flip. Then Urban has a in home with him last week. I think he signs with us tomorrow but wouldn't be shocked if he signs with UF. Negs @malbaker86 just in case that happens
