it was faster man

Canada needs to step up,. Rodney best time is 10.28 why is he in this?

If Canada had another competent sprinter who could run 9.9-10 we would have had silver easily

De grasse took us from 6th to 4th in like 4 seconds

That burat

@Reinscarf @malcolmxxx_45 We gotta talk about De Grasse last leg :wow: one of the best anchor legs ive seen :wow: hes gonna get that Gold in Tokyo :wow: his split had to have been at least a 9.7 for that leg

Then you are making a moot point and still won't qualify what makes someone a "better athlete" in your opinion.

k , I'm not trying to convince you of anything. All I'm doing is stating facts. Jamaica won........U.S. has to do better about putting their better athletes in track.

Cornball brother was a trackstar

Yep and the crazy thing is his speed didn't even look fast once he played NFL talent. Especially when he turned the corner.

That is why I have always felt dudes like Randy, Bo, Deon, Barry Sanders and Hershel Walker could have been world class gold medal Olympics athletes.

Dudes made real Olympic gold medal winners like Willie gault look avg in terms of speed and they were moving faster than him with more size and bulk.

You do know that track is more than the 100 and 200 right? The US are much better on the other runs and events. Be fair breh.

Yep.....shyt think if Nigeria was able to stop their athletic kids from focusing on soccer and got them to play basketball and then invested as much as the US does in basketball.

Apples and oranges.

Nigeria's issues are twofold. The biggest issue Nigerian athletics faces is proper funding. If the funding was there then Nigeria would be able to produce better athletes by investing in the right training facilities, equipment, sports nutritionists, performance enhancers etc. What little funding is there is of course misappropriated by officials as usual. The second issue is a direct result of the first issue, which is that Nigeria's best track athletes get poached by Europeans. Francis Obikwelu is the best sprinter Nigeria has ever produced and is an Olympic silver medalist as well as World Champion, but he won those medals running for Portugal (if he ran for the US or Jamaica he would be running Powell, Gatlin or Blake times). There's actually a third issue which is the scouting and development that goes into discovering the next Usain Bolt (or even Francis Obikwelu) which is simply not there.
