Yeah that's some shyt that should never happen all he had to do was slow cat down for barely a second and its 6 looks like he was hot dogging it
So frustrating man. Chip fukked up that game too. But it is what its, and it goes to your point that the BCS era fukked some teams over, real or perceived. I am just glad we have a playoff now. Maybe it should be 6 teams maybe 8 who knows, but I am just glad the BCS is fukking done man.
Yeah I remember watching live and remember reading some rumors bout Chip that didn't look too good week of or during that game I think you and @Reinscarf even posted something in that season thread.
The playoff will expand eventually they probably gotta clip one of these regular season games and go back to the 11 game schedule shyt gonna look pretty shytty if you got schools playing NFL schedules
CFB is going to change, I just wrote a long response to your post. But I am a bit drunk and it was gibberish. This is still probably gibberish, but shorter..
ESPN lost 4m subscribers this year.
I am no fan of Clay Travis. But man, read this article by him when it comes to the TV Sports rights future(he has been pretty on point about this for awhile now). it is interesting, and goes to the post from @jadillac about ESPN and Fox not wanting the Big 12 to add teams.
ESPN Loses 4 Million Subscribers In Past Year
Yeah very good article ESPN just burning money I didn't know they was paying so much for MLB they don't even get shyt for playoffs but one wildcard game. I don't even watch the ESPN broadcast unless Giants play on Sunday nights they ain't getting no big numbers off regular season MLB. Got a feeling ESPNU bout to get them deavors soon that channel ain't good for shyt but replays during the offseason. ESPN really started feeling themselves with that bullshyt Longhorn Network too
Ya, it is crazy. The way people watch TV now and the way it is going, it is going to be interesting when all these contracts come up. Funny enough, for all the Baseball is dying stuff. Baseball is actually positioned pretty good. B/c all their huge TV contracts for most teams are local.
Yeah Baseball eat off regional I don't know anyone who watches ESPN games unless they just don't have the package. I would be lost if I didn't have extra innings all I ever see ESPN showing is the Cubs or the New York teams with a little Boston and Washington mixed in.
I almsot dislike Clay Travis just as much as I dislike Jamie Mcintyre. Now this article is not written by jamie mcintyre, But it is from his site TBL. And jamie mcintyre works for Fox now. But when you get through the BS, the point about regional baseball TV(And regional TV sports right in general) contract rights makes sense.
Is Fox Sports Better Placed For Cable's Future Than ESPN?
There really ain't no solid answer to that. Since day 1 there's been basically no practice footage released, but it seems that JF3 is at least able to hit open receivers. That's a start. If we find out what running back will start before the QB, I could give you a legitimate answer. I don't see him starting if one of our lighter backs are starting (you cant have two speed options on a read option)
Its not running, there's a group of people that assume we'd have to sacrifice the Iron Bowl for whatever reasons to make it to the East. I'd be okay with that. Honestly, I've seen alot of fans online that have the same thoughts. I honestly believe Alabama fans take it more to the heart than we do. Probably because they don't have another actual rival and we pretty much have dynamics with every team we play (case in point: Clemson-Auburn)at u thinking yall gonna run from Bama
The 00s were the glory years for the rivalryYeah that rivalry gotta be at worst 3rd on your list. I don't care too much about that Army/Navy shyt that's more about pageantry
Remember being a youngster them Iron Bowls always coming on Saturday nights in the mid 90s with the GOAT Ron Franklin doing the games. I remember it used to be OSU/Michigan or FSU/Florida early in the morning then you get USC/UCLA in afternoon then night time be Bama vs Auburn they had a damn good run of games in the 90s the 00s were pretty boring rivalry ain't really heat up again until 09 game.
