I cant debate us being underlooked at or whatever after last year, but if we finish less than 3rd, Gus wont be back at this program.

Problem is he probably wouldn't stay at Auburn when the Texas job came open or even Ohio State. Gus doesn't want to leave Auburn anytime soon as far as I can tell. We actually need some stability around Auburn for the next decade so that the next coach after Gus can feel secure in his job. Even if Gus doesn't win but 1 championship along the way.

I wouldn't be pushing Gus out so soon, dude is just as smart/good as Herman and has proven it. That SEC West is just fukking brutal plus the UGA cross over yearly and normally a tough OOC opener

Suprised at Herman. If A&M or Texas have a bad year, those jobs will be open. Texas should be better, but man, you never know with how young they are.

This makes sense. But I was thinking last night. If Auburn made it to a championship this year, they'd be tied with you know who for the most championship appearances since the start of this decade. That's crazy to think of, but we a fanbase that seems to have to settle for "stability". As long as Gus doesn't completely burn the place down, I think he should stay up until next year, but I don't know why he cant be consistently as good as 2010 or even 2013

He does have the type of QB he usually wins with in JF3 tho, I dont think Sean or even Jeremy has a chance if JF3 is half of Marshall level

probably a little factor into why certain fans would want to move to the East. we routinely have a top 2 schedule in the conference in terms of difficulty, there's never no break
