Why no consideration for Scott?

not enough exp, he hasnt even been a coordinator yet. too risky for a program coming off 2 bad hires

clap for Coach Scott, 4-1 under really tough circumstances. him and Beard should be retained. Beard really helped the WR's cut down on drops, and Scott obviously has alot of respect in the locker room and has helped keep alot of the recruits committed. Dobard has been a letdown, but i feel like Njoku can be a star. nice job to get him ready to play heavy snaps by his 2nd year

Butch is reportedly interviewing down at the Hecht this weekend, i wouldnt be surprised if they close the deal. the other named candidates are too much of a crapshoot, Butch will load us with talent at the worst. he can coach at a high level, the others just dont have the resume. Chip is staying imo, so is Strong. and honestly Charlie doesnt do alot for me

I'm cool with Butch, to me that's the best hire to re-energize the fanbase and to stabilize the program

he likely won't recreate the 2001 Canes, but we desperately need a 'sure thing' to get us back to being an annual 10 win team, and within our pay range, the only coach I see who offers that is Butch

nikkas really just want a mid level staff of old Miami guys just cause their Miami guys only program in the nation begging coaches without jobs to take its open position.

If your gonna hire Butch why not atleast swing and miss on a Herman/Strong/Mullen THEN come back to Butch. It's been 4 years since he got fired at UNC and the only school to even entertain the idea was FIU and even they passed on him for Ron Turner.

looks like they have interviewed Butch and Schiano. word is decision might be made by Wednesday. sources also say they are interested in Richt, so I expect, if they haven't already, for them to get in contact

its definitely Butch. snobbish Hurricane twitter has had their panties in a bunch over this for the last few days now. my thing is, their favorites all didn't want the job

1. Tom Herman - clearly wasn't interested, he signed an extenstion with houston and is probably waiting to see if Texas becomes available in a few years
2. Charlie Strong - isn't getting fired and is not interested in leaving Texas for Miami
3. Chip Kelly - is NOT leaving the NFL- not interested
4. Mark Richt - reports out of Georgia is that he is also not interested and might take 2016 off
5. dan mullen wasn't coming here either


so who does that leave? people would have revolted if they hired an assistant coach from somewhere

hopefully he can put together a monster staff.....I haven't read anything regarding who the OC or DC might be

Richt isnt some great get anyway, dudes a choker i dont want him. Mullen would have cost millions that they wont spend that was never realisitc
