@jaguar paw what exceptions do the Cavs have for this season couldn't we fit Mo Williams into the mini-mid level exception...Sign someone to the MLE and bring in a vet to replace Marion and still use deadwoods contract to bring in a guy like Gerald Henderson?

Also what was the wilson Chandler trade you brought up was it something like deadwood/Harris /Pick for Chandler/Foye/

All they have is Haywood's contract, the mini mid level, and vet min contracts.

I suggested Chandler because the Nuggets are supposedly looking to shed salary. They could take on Haywood's contract and immediately waive him with no salary owed.

I have them moving Harris is the deal because he's a cheap 6'6" SG that can shoot but needs time to develop.

Griffin is looking for youth and experience in the 26-30 year old range.

Miami’s reported offer to Goran Dragic could put him back in play for the Lakers, speculates Ben Rosales of SB Nation. The Heat are expected to make Dragic a five-year offer in the neighborhood of $80MM, which would be far less than the maximum of more than $100MM. Both figures are estimated until the end of the moratorium next month. The Lakers, Rosales notes, have expressed a willingness to give Dragic a full max deal, which for them would be four years at an estimated $85MM.
:why: Why???

Chandler is on the last year of his deal and we're not exactly in a position to make a run at Kevin Love so there's no urgent need to clear cap room.

Haywood's non-guaranteed contract isn't going to cut it, you're going to need an additional asset to get Chandler. we already acquired all of your future picks. :mjpls:

Um actually the two picks the Nuggets acquired in the Mozgov deal were from Memphis and OKC.

Boston has the Cavs pick next year and the Cavs own their first round pick this year.

Denver is asking a lot of Chandler and they won't get much in return. I don't see them moving him until the deadline anyway. Rumor has it is that the Cavs are talking to San Antonio about a deal.

poorly worded, I meant picks in your possession. that Memphis picks is pure gold if Gasol leaves.

you can't trade picks in consecutive years which is why you're drafting this year, but I believe you can draft a player and trade him immediately -- so it's not impossible a deal could happen.

Yeah I don't think Chandler happens based off of the reports of what they've been asking for. Sounds like the Nuggets aren't just trying to shed salary and tank but rebuild on the fly.

I don't see how either team could help each other at this point.

:mjlol: Wade's camp really trying to start some type of bidding war, ain't nobody going to pay him anywhere close to what he wants. :patrice: Welp, Lakers might just for ratings/fukkery, but that's a different story. The classic what better way to get clicks, just use the Lakers name.

I could see the Bucks making a push for him, he'd be a good teacher for Giannis and Jabari, and he has Wisconsin roots from Marquette.

Wade is still good, but Middleton is a much better option at this point and plays both ways at an elite level and can spot up. Unless Wade wants to come off the bench, but no way he would allow that to happen. Wade has 3 rings, he wants/should cash in as much as he can now and his legacy is already intact. If Wade hits the open market, the Lakers would offer him that max contract he wants, they just can't resist name players with star value. Plus Time Warner needs those ratings. :snoop: They offered old as hell Dirk a max contract just last season. :damn:

But Malta, this is a position that undervalues the importance of Wade branding, no?

I think it would be a good move but would Wade be doing a disservice to his public branding value by going to the Bucks? :ld:
