I'm big on Ed too, I was happy as fukk when he became a Laker last season. I think it might be a bit hard for him to get a starting spot for other teams, off top maybe the Kings and Knicks would pay him so he can be a starter, but if he resigns he would get some good minutes here. He would probably start at the 4 to start the season so he can ease Randle into a starter than rushing him into a starter and defend the pick n roll for Okafor. He would get good solid minutes for sure, especially for defensive purposes. He is better as a 5, especially against small ball teams. Advanced stats seems to have always favor him and it shows from the eye test too, he just needs other competent defenders around him that the Lakers didn't have and he can make a bigger impact on defense. He plays more efficient and better at about 20-22 minutes a game than 28-30 minutes just off of effort purposes. He can definitely be a nice piece on a contender.
