Saric is not gonna start or play at the 3, simply because he isn't laterally quick enough to guard wings, he is gonna be a change of pace 4 off the bench.Saric is a 4 in the same vein as Lamar Odom, he really can't shoot that well at the moment, good playmaker and a dude that could maybe knock down some 3s in the future. They would probably never be able to play Saric, Nerlens and Embiid together, even with shooters at the 1 & 2, there would be too much spacing issues. If they take Porzingis, they could play Saric/Embiid together because of the fact Porzingis would be the floor spacer from the four.
The more I think about it, the more sense it makes for them to take Porzingis and then flip Nerlens for a PG. Drafting him means Mudiay is there at 6, and they have enough assets to make trading for him a breeze, they could probably get him and McLemore or Stauskas back if they offered Nerlens.
