He's actually a good one on one defender, like I said the main issue is him being late on rotations where u don't have to be quick on. Hell al jefferson and zbo aren't good defenders either.

He's late on rotations cause he's not very quick on his feet, it's also why he gets his shots blocked so much.

Jefferson has been on only 1 good defensive team in his career, and Zbo has 3 plus defenders on the floor with him. Just accept that there's always going to be some defensive spillage with Kanter, you should have more than enough firepower next year to be right there with the Warriors/Cavs.

I don't need to pray for yall, as long as your team is healthy they should be the best in the West, even with his defense.

A Randle/Okafor frontcourt is a disaster waiting to happen on defense, look at Favors and Kanter for example, Favors is a + defender and even he wasn't good enough them from having an ass team defense.

Towns is what the new age PF is moving towards, which is in 3 years I expect Towns to be shooting 3s as well as posting people up. I think his best position in the NBA will be PF next to a big center, and when his team goes small ball he'll be the 5.

If Minny picks Okafor they need their heads examined.I like him but I think Towns will play both ends and I think he has a whole lot more in his offensive repertoire then people think

Nobody's really in on this decision other than Flip. I just think Okafor fits Flip's idealistic offense and he probably assumes KG can fix Okafor defensively. Hell, part of why he loves Porzingis so much is because he sees a lot of similarities between Porzingis and KG. Towns is the more modern 4/5 but Flip runs an antiquated offense predicated on long 2's

If anything there are guys in the front office that prefer Russell over Okafor
