so it was known they were drafting for the spurs prior to the pick? I'm asking cuz I keep hearing Chad Ford going around claiming he was so high on it

The Spurs told the pacers to draft Leonard in order for the George Hill trade to happen, it was known when it was happening I believe

And no one was high on that trade at that time

U19 update:
After 2 days Josh Jackson is by far the most dominant player on team USA that features Jason Taytumx Harry Giles, Allonzo Trier, Caleb Swanugan and several other top recruits. His athletic ability has been overwhelming, he is defending the whole court and in general is looking like a prime Pippen out there.
He is easily the MVP of the tourney so far.
As far as international players. Dragan Bender was unfortunately suspended from play because of a dispute between Jordan(the shoe brand that sponsors Croatian NT) and Adidas (The brand that sponsors Bender)
Bender refused to participate in the Jordan Brand all star game and because of that he isn't allowed to play.
US destroyed Croatia today behind 20 points and 5 steal from Josh Jackson.

The other intriguing international player is Furkan Korkmez. He has scored 14 points in each of the 2 games and led Turkey to 2 wins. He looked much more comfortable against Spain today, however. He made 4-5 three pointers and added 4 assists showing off his advanced passing skills. I also noticed that he looks a bit taller and is indeed listed at 6'7 now as opposed to his previous listed height of 6'5.
With Bender MIA, i would say Turkey, along with Greece, are the favorites to give the US it's biggest challenge
