Well at least he admitted his mistake. Most GM's don't but just are willing to do enough to stay afloat.

true. next year is the absolute worst year to try and tank.
another team that lost is philly. they have 4 potential 1st round picks next year. they woulda been better served having some of those accure this year or skip to 2017. however, there is little chance the lakers are in top 3 next year or the heat and okc are back in the lottery. so they'll be looking next year at 3 picks in the 10-30 range. in strong draft that would be nice, but in the weak draft you'd be lucky to get one starter out of that group.

If trades pop up everywhere, it opens up a ton of options, but that's how it's shaking out
towns is gonna be a 6'11" al horford. that means he'll be a perenial all-star on that chris bosh tip. but he'll never be the man on a contender. he'll be wiggins pau gasol/chris bosh. eventual HOFer, but never a top 10 player in the league.
The shift happened in the organization according to reporters when Flip decided he was going to draft whoever fit with Wiggins best. Towns will be the 2 unless he's somehow even better than the expectations.

Flip is cornered. This isn't his top choice, but anything else would be a "fukk you" to his whole staff. This is why the lottery and the draft are this far apart. Gave the team over a month to change his mind.
Back to Oubre real quick. Pat Riley has a type when he drafts. I'll explain more when I drop my final mock, but Beasley aside, Riley rarely fukks with young projects.
flip is gon be right about okafor being the better player, but towns is the better fit to be wiggins #2.
