Just realized the Wizards drafted Tomas Satoransky in 2012 and he is more productive than his teammate who is slated to be a lottery pick (Mario Hezonja). :ohhh:

You think Russel is a PG? :ohhh:

And I'm on record being DJ Augustin's last Stan in Charlotte.
Yea he's a PG... next Penny

More I think, the more I feel he has a legit argument as the true #1 pick in this draft. He's the most skilled and has the highest basketball IQ I've seen in a long time.

If Philly gets Russell, they are the next 90s Orlando Magic.... period.

Even Russell in LAL would do wonders.

:mjlol: @ the thought a Charlotte fan not thinking this guy is worth a top 5 pick.

You nikkas need to leave the scouting analysis alone! Go jump off a bridge or something.

Nobody eh? Didnt have to look very far

This dude quoted a guy named Starski.... on the coli.... :deadmanny:

Aaaaaanyway, moving on.

I'm still maintaining that the sleeper/late riser is going to be Arturas Gudaitis... Big Lithuanian, skilled. Seems to be strong for his age, with great hands. Looks to dunk the ball. Footwork looks legit, as well as his passing. He's listed around 220, but the latest film of him makes him look heavier than that. Which makes me think those listings are old.

:francis: Am I the only one getting Evan Turner vibes form Russell? He is skilled, but he doesn't have elite speed or athleticism. Unless Russell is the next Curry that I ain't aware of, I would take my chances on Winslow, he is stronger, more athletic, better defensively, higher ceiling imo.

I'm gonna do you a favor and not bring up the fact that you're a Dion Waiters stan.

But Russell isn't a top 5 pick type of athlete and as a point guard, I really can't see it happening because there were even times in college where had issues getting separation. I like him as player, and I'd like him in Charlotte too - its just that guys like Winslow, Hezonja, etc have higher floors.

Evan turner no Evan was turned into a two way guard and forced to play point guard in college it wasn't natural ability

RUSSELL is far more of a natural 2 way guard and has better passing and shooting ability only thing he lacks is elite athletsisim

Russell ain't an elite athlete :yeshrug:

I think that guys taken that high should at very least be the elite athletes. When you draft skill focused players that high, you end up with Adam Morrisons. :leostare:

I think there are Elite athletes, and then elite skillsets. Given his size and shooting ability, to have a wing-sized player with that kind of passing ability is a pretty elite set of skills. You're willing to take the risk on a more athletic, less polished player, under the auspices of "well they can always work on their game" -- but in the NBA that doesn't play out nearly as often as people hope.

Mario is a real risk, just off transition... and Winslow (or stanley, or outbre, or myles or any of these other Body-first prospects) lack HUGE swaths of skills. Like enormous holes in their games. If you're going to draft a guard or wing, I think it should be somebody that is offensively versatile, and can not only stretch the floor, but get the ball to people in position ONCE the floor is spaced. That's just me.

Also, @tremonthustler1 -- I see you showing love to Olivi-AYE :gladbron:... and I love it.
