@Malta @tremonthustler1 you guys hearing the same thing about the 3 teams trading out of the lotto? Seems common sense to me but I guess its fluid because their final evaluations on picks havent really been made yet.

Which teams?

Nah, haven't heard a thing :lupe:

Who are the teams?

Unless they get into top 3..im hearing DET/SAC/CHA...At least one will trade out. I think for Det it comes down to their ultimate evaluation of Porzingis and also if they think he would drop to them (which is questionable right now). They all have pressure to win asap and have multiple needs. I guess Falk has a connection to Det and is also on good terms with Ainge so Det might settle for Sully at the 4 for a year and pick up Young and a pick in the process. Cha could be in play with Avery Bradley/Olynyk/Picks..or some sort of combination. Heard the Celts want to consolidate..free up a little cash for FA..get better prospects on rookie deals then bring back some of their free agents as well. Always seemed like the plan but am seeing and hearing substantive stuff now. Might even swing back Lance from CHA..Ainge sees Lance as buy low value target and has a reasonable contract ala Thomas. He had inquired about him in the past as well. Also heard Celts already have a deal in place but am unsure with who or if it comes to fruition (another team could swoop in or minds can change based on scouting updates etc).

Their pick is too valuable and Bradley hasnt been able to consistently create his own shot. Hes young, good shooter and good-great defender..hes making 8-9 m the next 3 years. Lance is 9 and 9 with a team option. Worst comes to worst we flip him as an expiring after the season or decline his 3rd year option. Hes a good defender and versatile. Just shot like garbage. Can only improve. Danny took a chance on Ricky Davis..I would never rule out a questionable character with Ainge. The thing that may change things is that he fought with Turner last year in Indy. Can still see a deal with CHA without Lance though. Bradley would fit like a glove in Charlotte, maybe we can get cheese-eyes to overpay. If I had to wager, Id say Bradley only gets dealt on draft day if someone we love falls to CHA. He's still valuable to us.

That was in middle May.

So, turns out Falk told DET Monroe was a goner, DET decided to grab Ilyasova instead of Sully (another Falk client) with the Porzingis stock rise. Better deal for DET by getting Ilyasova for what they got him at than dealing with Danny for Sully/KO.

Lance got moved to LAC for Hawes essentially (Barnes is prob waived with partial guaranteed contract). Henderson opted in...If Bradley/16 is on CHA's desk then makes a lot of sense for CHA unless they love Booker and think hes gone by 16 (looking that way but who knows)...the $ in CHA doesnt look appealing to Boston in terms of matching. So maybe we're looking at a 4 team deal with DEN/SAC/BOS/CHA (?)

Just fukked around and made a monster lol:

Boston gets: Jason Thompson, Ray McCallum, #9 (from CHA)
Charlotte gets: Avery Bradley, #16 (from BOS)
Sacramento gets: Faried, Lawson, Olynyk, #45, future pick from somewhere
Denver gets: Landry, Collison, #6 (from SAC), future pick from somewhere

:manny: i dunno

I don't like it...

I'm absolutely okay with moving both players but I think Bradley, ko, 16 and 33 for 9 is a little much to give up

I don't like Thompson, nobody does and mccallum does nothing for me

The NBA is expected to invite at least 20 players to the draft Thursday in Brooklyn, with as many as three from national champion Duke, two from national runner-up Wisconsin and four representing 38-1 Kentucky, multiple sources with knowledge of the list said.

Duke's Jahlil Okafor, Justise Winslow and Tyus Jones will be in attendance, sources said. So, too, will Wisconsin's Frank Kaminsky and Sam Dekker, as well as Kentucky's Karl-Anthony Towns, Willie Cauley-Stein, Trey Lyles and Devin Booker.

Towns is the favorite to be the top pick when the Minnesota Timberwolves select No. 1 at the Barclays Center on Thursday night (7 ET on ESPN and WatchESPN).

Ohio State's D'Angelo Russell, expected to be picked in the top four, as well as 7-foot-1 Latvian Kristaps Porzingis also will be in attendance, sources said. Porzingis, who worked out in Las Vegas on June 12 in front of representatives from all 30 teams, could fall anywhere among the top five picks, with sources saying the Orlando Magic are unlikely to pass on him if available at No. 5. A number of NBA sources have said Porzingis could be the best player in this draft, but some teams might shy away from taking him over a more established name like Towns, Okafor or Russell.

Emmanuel Mudiay, who is from Dallas, signed at SMU but instead chose to play professionally in China, is also a lottery lock and a candidate to be picked among the top five. He joins Arizona's Stanley Johnson, Texas' Myles Turner, Murray State's Cameron Payne and Kansas' Kelly Oubre as invitees, sources said.

The rest of the invites, according to multiple sources, are expected to be Arizona's Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Arkansas' Bobby Portis, Georgia State's R.J. Hunter and Notre Dame's Jerian Grant.

Mario Hezonja, a 6-foot-7 Croatian, is considered a lock for the lottery as well, but he is still playing for FC Barcelona in Europe and might not be able to attend Thursday's draft, sources said.

RJ Hunter is a late scratch though

switched it to 45..thompson can play the bass role at 6m, ray is a nice prospect (better than a 2nd rounder) under contract and is friends with IT..

we actually end up saving money on the cap with that deal. and we have 9,28,33 in the stable :manny:

Myles Turner is this year's Aaron Gordon

Last minute big riser

Could go higher than anybody anticipated and might even get picked before Cauley Stein
Gordon was top 10 the whole time. Turner was lotto anyway.

Unless you think Turner goes 4th I can't see him ahead of WCS and 8/9/10 are clearly targeting wings

It's easy to hate on Thompson but brad Stevens has a gift for getting the best out of players so I'll be optimistic

Still think it shouldn't cost us that much to move up with Charlotte

Bradley would be great for them they'd love him

I could see the Magic taking him... The Gordon thing was a complete surprise... They've been rumored to like Stein so why wouldn't they like Turner who is a better fit next to vucevic

Gordon was not projected to go 4th, nobody had him going that high

and think at what we could do with 9/28/33 (plus BKs picks, our picks, DAL protected 1st, MIN protected 1st, MEM protected 1st and all our 2nd rounders)..we could end up with a massive haul and still have mega cap space. thats a no brainer to me

if anything charlotte may have to flip some salary elsewhere to make it work..maybe they toss barnes somewhere to get waived and/or brian roberts idk.
