Recruiting Classes mean shyt to me bruh, everybody has good to great recruits
yet somehow the last 3 national champs have had a top 5 recruiting class at least 2 years before they win the natty.
recruiting matters. there is a reason alabama, florida state, and ohio state are always in the national title conversation. its because they're top 5 in recruiting year in year out. Ole Miss went from SEC doormat to top 3 in the country last season at one point because of their stellar 2013 recruiting class. to act like recruiting at an elite level is NOT NECCESARY to winning a national title is being blind to reality. never said it was SUFFICIENT. but you need to be at a top 5-10 level recuriting for 2-3 years if you wanna seriously challenge for the national title.
its one of the reasons Oregon has not won a national title the last 5 years eventhough they get gassed up each season. they've never recruited at that super elite level to where they can beat the likes of Ohio State or Auburn in national title games. their gimmick offense has gotten them this far because the Pac12 has been down. Once USC gets off sanctions, they'll be back to dominating and Oregon will be back to being an afterthought.
recruiting is the single most important ingridient to winning a national title. just like great drafting is the single most important ingridient to winning the superbowl.
