and for all this talk that the SEC is overrated, we still get the best recruits and still put the most guys into the NFL. one flukey bowl season doesn't change those facts.

most of the best players in college football play in the SEC. that is an undeniable fact.

two can play that game. wake forest beat va-tech 6-3 in double OT. i guess ohio state can't beat a team wake forest beat scoring only 6 points.

also why are you using rankings at the end of the season? end of the season rankings are not indicitaive of team strength. its based largely on W/L record. and that is largely influenced by the type of schedule you play. this aint the nfl where everyone plays the same schedule. college football is highly unbalanced. and a couple of flukely bowl games don't change that.

its still alot harder to finish with only 2-3 losses playing an sec west schedule than it is playing a big 10 schedule. Arkansas finished unranked, but I bet if they were in the big 10, they'd have finished the season ranked cause they wouldn't have had losses on their record from playing the likes of alabama, auburn, a&m, and miss st.

because it where you finish not where you start
cant be beating overrated teams and think your team sweet

thats how you get exposed when you get into the playoffs :sas2:

holla at me when tenn can win more then 10 games :sas1:

this the big boy table why you even here :usure:

back to back top 5 recruiting classes in 2014 and 2015. working on another elite top 10 class for 2016. and folks in knoxville believe 2017 has the potential to be butch's best recruiting class ever. the state of tennesee is flushed with elite players in the class of 2017. 247sports has 6-7 kids from tennessee ranked as top 100 recruits in 2017. vols are considered the favorite or co-favorite for all of them. plus there are a couple of elite legacy recruits that are also highly ranked and thought to be leaning tennessee right now. folks in knoxville believe Tennessee has a chance at getting the #1 recruiting class in the country for 2017.

we might not be relevant RIGHT NOW but in a few years we'll be in the national title race. butch jones is showing that he's an ELITE RECRUITER.

I love the summer but damn it moves so slow when you're waiting for football season to start

I have high hopes for both PSU and TAMU this year, think both are looking at least 9 win seasons, maybe more. Aggies have been stockpiling recruits since Sumlin got there, and with Kyle Allen having a little experience now, we should bounce back in a big way from a down year last year.

PSU should have a top 5-10 defense in the country, with the potential to be even the best. The offensive line was so bad last year, it completely stalled all facets of the offense. It should be, at the very least, marginally improved this year. If we can put even a decent offensive line out there this year, give Hack some time with one of the deepest WR/TE groups in the country, we should actually score a few points this year too. Look out for PSU in the B1G
