Raiders have soured on Terrelle Pryor?
Matt McGloin continues to start at quarterback for the Oakland Raiders as a healthy Terrelle Pryor sits on the bench.
Pryor has not rocked the boat about wanting to start and there appears to be no plans for the former Ohio State star to move back to the top of the depth chart.
According to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Raiders have turned the page on Pryor. The reasons are more than just injuries as the quarterback and the coaching staff are simply not on the same page.

Of course the Raiders can also not be happy with the way Pryor handled his knee injury by keeping it a secret from the coaching staff and then telling reporters about it following a loss.
While Pryor may not be the starter right now things are not better for McGloin.
After a strong start to his tenure as the Raiders starting quarterback McGloin has also come back down to earth. All signs point to the Raiders drafting a quarterback early in the 2014 Draft which could come at the expense of Pryor’s roster spot.

I can understand McGloin's argument. Pryor can't make all the throws and that's why he's subordinate to McGloin right now. But Pryor has more potential and I think he should play in the long run. He can develop game by game, inch by inch.

Agent's Take: Raiders top list of teams with best 2014 cap situation

Panthers DE Greg Hardy will be a beneficiary of all this open cap space

1. Oakland Raiders

Salary Cap Room: $63,550,126 (46 players)

Adjusted Salary Cap: $128,924,069

The Oakland Raiders have the most cap room in the NFL because general manager Reggie McKenzie, who was formerly director of football operations for the Green Bay Packers, has completed his two-year process of cleaning up the cap. If McKenzie adopts the Green Bay philosophy as anticipated, he won't be aggressive in the first wave of free agency when teams overpay players in a seller's market. The CBA requiring teams to spend 89 percent of the cap in cash over four year periods of 2013 through 2016 and 2017 through 2020 could impact McKenzie's approach. The Raiders have the NFL's lowest payroll at $93.1 million (75.7 percent of the cap).

The defense should have a different look next year because seven starters are unrestricted free agents. Finding a player who can consistently generate a pass rush should be at the top of McKenzie's list. Defensive end Lamarr Houston and left tackle Jared Veldheer are Oakland's top two free agents. Former fourth-overall pick Darren McFadden's six year tenure with the Raiders will likely end after a disappointing and injury plagued contract year.

Following the raiders are

2. The Jags
3. The browns
4. the bears
5. the colts
6. buffalo
7. miami
8. redskins

NOW NATION FAM....This offseason for the raiders in terms of free-agents will be difficult because u have teams like the dolphins and the colts with franchise QB's and better playoff opportunities for free-agents to say i want to play with a winner regardless of pay to a extent.

Then u'll have the redskins who with shanahan gone and a owner willing to pay to win and need on defense will do anything to attract good players

Catch me in the safari zone
If they dont get Clowney or another beast pass rusher in the first round

This draft should be all about o-line, d-line, linebackers, and one more young safety for Woodson to coach up. Get all the other shyt through free agency especially corners. Get a corner that's already proven. Can't gamble on these corners in the draft, too risky.
Thx for the rep :salute:

Raiders won't commit to coaches

Oakland Raiders owner Mark Davis is unwilling to give contract extensions to any of the team's assistant coaches, league sources said.

Dennis Allen is nearing the completion of his second straight losing season in Oakland.

Raiders coach Dennis Allen, who is nearing the completion of his second consecutive losing season in Oakland, approached Davis two weeks ago to request extensions for the majority of the assistant coaches with expiring contracts, sources said.

But Davis rejected the request, indicating that he is not ready to commit to any of his coaches -- including Allen -- for the 2014 season.

The Raiders, who have not had a winning season since 2002, enter Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers with a 4-10 record.

Oakland is 8-22 all-time under the 41-year-old Allen, the team's seventh coach in the last 11 seasons.
