Sad display. Horrible play calling, not playing to win just trying to hold on backfired. I fukkin HATE that every passing play is a play action, if you get stuffed at the line every run play why you doing PA like its gonna scare someone?

Imma post this again this idiotic staff has to get rid of this power ball fantasy they have.Besides our tackles the interior of this o-line is a fukking joke.Fitz had 27 carries for 25 yards:trash:Coach Funk has to be replaced this line hasn't improved in 2 years its a damn joke.Scrap this entire offensive system go back to the Denard offense.Devin is our best playmaker let him make plays. Also how is it we have Funchess 4 catches 112 yards not have 1 target in OT:what:.I tell you exactly why because our conservative ass coaches played not to win.Mattison isn't without blame either how about Taylor or Countess cover Robinson when the game is on the line not a true freshmen.Spread teams out and let Devin make plays he is the only running threat we have. The read option offense is the only hope for this o-line.

Honestly, I'm not even mad. I feel vindicated.
:steviej:

I missed the end of the game from early in the 3rd quarter on. When I checked my phone later, I had a ton of texts killing Hoke for blowing the game. Was his conservative approach enough to make Lloyd Carr blush?

I loved seeing Fitz's stateline. Real effective strategy guys. :beli:

In the first half, Gardner's turnovers were awful. Looking at the box score though, it seems like they were asking him to do everything. Why the fukk are they still kidding themselves with this power running bullshyt and not running the spread with Gardner? That's what he's gonna be most effective with.

I never jumped off the "Fire Hoke" bandwagon. I'm glad to see @BarNone is still on board. :banderas:

We gotta address Hoke's recruiting too. Either the players he's getting are wildly overrated or he is an even worse coach than we thought. He went 11-2 with Rich Rod's players and has gotten progressively worse results with each passing year (they should be 3-3).

Hoke can stay, but there is absolutely no way Borges, Funk, and Jackson all have to go. Mattison, as well. This whole "contain" defensive scheme is fukking stupid. Our recruits are HS all-americans and don't develop past their freshmen year. Touissant? We really still giving him an ungodly amount of carries? When will we recruit multiple top talent quarterbacks and wide receivers?

How are you gonna say all the coordinators go but Hoke stays? That son of a bytch doesn't even wear a fukking headset during the games. If you're bytching about their coaching, Hoke has to take the blame because he's not even in contact with them for most of the games.

He can recruit, he has a likable personality, and he is an alumnus. I prefer he stays, takes a hands-on approach with the stipulation that he hires more proactive, less conservative assistants.

Peppers is a once in a lifetime recruit and Dashawn Hand +Mcdowell + Marshall will give us a pass rush we haven't had since the days of Woodley, Burgess, Harris, Branch and Hall

Drake Harris + Darboh + Funchess will also give us more than one capable receiver. All of our best O line recruits are sophomores and freshmen, so another year should do well.

Gardner is the only piece of the puzzle that worries me, and hopefully like you said, we go back to the spread...

The O-line was wack though. Then Lewan went down. But Gardner pretty much was the entire offense. But what was the worst was these guys coming out and just running the ball at the end of the 4th hoping to set up a long FG and then they get a delay of game. I don't even put it all on Gardner because they're taking too long to get the play to him. Borges is just awful. But then we had 3 and 1 in OT (which was first down and a terrible spot), but Hoke just decides to run it with Fitz right up the middle instead of giving Gardner a chance to throw for it. Mind you they had NINE in the box. NINE. This clown Hoke just sits there with his headset off like :dwillhuh:. Then Gibbons misses a FG. Meanwhile, in that exact same scenario Penn St. went for it and got it and we lost the game. Also, we needed to blitz on their last drive and never did. We have this kid a perfect pocket. His passes weren't even that good, these idiots kept going for the INT instead of deflecting it trying to be heroes.

It was just one of the worst coached games I have ever seen in my life. Once again, a close game, in the big moments and Hoke and his staff look like amateurs. We need to throw everything at an elite coach. They hired a nikka from SDSU to coach MICHIGAN. :smh:

I'm not really a Michigan fan and I didn't see the game, but if Devin can't throw he's not playing in the NFL. Period. Sad because he excited me too. He needs to show he can put Michigan on his back and earn them wins on performance alone. Given the box scores I don't see Devin doing enough to warrant consideration.

Denard doesn't even see touches in Jax. I don't think he had one target last game. He might be only end up as a KR in the NFL.

By far the worst loss of the Hoke era in my opinion. They had this game won about 4 times :snoop: Hoke's game management skill :trash: For him to blow two timeout calls is unacceptable. Not taking a shot to win the game in overtime :smh: You telling me they couldn't let the 6'5 Funchess get a jump ball chance? No read options on 3rd and 1? Borges again tried to run the ball with Fitz knowing damn well the O-Line couldn't pick up a yard. They really thought Gibbons was going to make game winning kick in a hostile environment :deadrose: Even with the loss anything less than a Big 10 championship appearance in Indy will be a failure in my eyes. I'm tried of the excuses.
