Defensive back Reon Dawson had switched his commitment from Illinois to Michigan three weeks ago, and yesterday he formally signed with the Wolverines. Dawson, who lives in Trotwood, Ohio, had wanted to go to Ohio State, but the Buckeyes never offered him a scholarship. Not that it left him with any hard feelings.

From the Dayton Daily News:

"Until I die, I'm gonna be a Buckeye fan even though I'm going (to Michigan). When we play (OSU) I'm gonna still bring my ‘A' game. But, I love Ohio State."

Hoo boy. I'm sure we can expect Michigan fans to respect Dawson's honesty, to understand where he's coming from, and to treat his genuine feelings with the utmost resp—ah, shyt. Just so you know, Malik McDowell is visiting OSU next weekend and will probably commit to the Buckeyes as well. That will give Urban Meyer the top three players in the state of Michigan for 2014. Don't worry though, the rest of your in-state players are trash and Urban will let you keep what's left.
