I love a lot of things about Islam but I just can't fully accept it. The brotherhood and communal spirit is what greatly attracted me to it and I have been embraced warmly by Muslims. The notion of solely adhering to one God and no one else strongly resonates with me. But notions such as Muhammad being infallible, saying his name during prayers and etc are things I just cannot get down with.

I'm going to a Mosque for the first time this Friday for Jumah and some of the Muslims I know are pressuring me to take the Shahada....but I'm not going to. I can't attest faith to something I don't wholeheartedly believe in :manny:

A lot of people who claim who hear from god, don't actually hear from god. Instead they are hearing their own conscience talk to them.

Anytime i try and visit a mosque something comes up. It never fails :francis:
