Is it possible to turn physically purchased games into digital games on a micro sd card?

Saw some shyt about some people hacking the switch...not sure I'm really about that life and would really want to understand the benefits and would prefer to stay away from piracy. But maybe having the ability to play roms of games not for sale is intriguing.

So far the 4 other Arcadium posters who own a Wii U, the eShop will no longer be accepting purchases starting next month, Jan 2022.

Now is a good time to dust it off and grab any games you want before they're closed off. A GREAT example of a VC game worth buying is Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3. The VC edition of the GBA game has ALL of the e-Reader levels, some of which were never released outside of the Japan. There's like 40 levels, it nearly doubles the length of the game. Great deal at $8 and that's pretty much the only way to do it.

Additionally, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon's VC edition has the online-expansion stuff baked in; you used to only be able to buy on the DS's e-shop.
