you sound upset. tell us why you're mad

Why would I be upset?

I'm pointing out the bad writing and stereotyping. No one cares what two side characters think of Obama or their SAT scores. But since they're black, it should matter all of a sudden? Just unnecessary IMO.

Like the rest of the show though. Really my only complaint, aside from the rushed dialogue :dwillhuh:

I think that scene illustrates how McAvoy is an a$$hole and how distant he is with his staff. To be fair, its only the second episode so we dont know if their characters will be more fleshed out later on; McAvoy's description may be a great starting point. Without his comment, those two would be just the token Negroes.

I understand how you would think they're stereotypes though. The guy is a Black man willing to criticize a Black icon and the other is a Black woman who blew the average minority SAT scores outta the water. No to mention they're successful staffers in a dying industry.

Fair enough. I just thought it was thrown out there to say "Hey look at these two black people. They're not your ordinary black people". I don't need it said to me. Just show what it is they do. The Slumdog Millionaire dude showed that he knew some shyt. They didn't have to preface it with anything beforehand. :manny:

You noticed who pointed out that they weren't your ordinary black people

Will McAvoy

He was being an a$$hole. The EP chick even tested the new text system by sending a msg to everyone in the room saying he was prejudice or something as a joke, then the scene with the two black people followed.

the scene was setup perfectly...it was funny as fukk to me, because of how random he threw them into his lil speech. The exchange between him and his old EP was good too.

I swear i'm digging this nikkas Soarkin's writing right now..shyt is slick as fukk while going 100 mph.

I actually thought Munn was one of the few good things about the episode. It's probably because I never watched G4, but I never understood why people hate Olivia Munn so much.

they really cleaned olivia munn up she was not that clean on G4

second episode was better than the first to me :yeshrug: more crisp

I thought it was solid with development but I did expect a bit more. I like the scene at the end with him on the balcony with High n Dry. Nice way to end it after all the drama :ehh:

:leostare: @ the 1 Black dude's phone being the one to get stomped on & hit with coffee.

white people love to style on black people, they're cast just so they can be styled on, just get used to it.

I liked the second episode more than the first, but it's still meh

Really,, it's the smug attitudes that are keeping me engaged at this point.

Surprised there aren't more complaints about the TERRIBLE email-all storyline. My God, that was awful. Sorkin needs to step it up.

:pachaha: This is so true. Everytime two characters have a rapid discussion, he's in the back with his eyes bugged out.

But, he is incharge of Will's blog, and knows alot about the oil spill because he built a volcano in school. :rudy:

EVERYONE on this show talks too fukking much. its like the writers/producer is in a race to fit 85 minutes worth of dialogue into 47 minutes.

Not only that, its identical to EVERY sorkin show ever which suffers from annoyingly neurotic wordy charactors...sportsnight was identical to this first episode down to the oldman boss, the newscaster who has outbursts, the new young couple/coworkers....

This will probably better, but this is nothing new, sorkin is an egotist and thinks his model works but every show he makes burns quickly
