This show is pisses me off sometimes. Watching the blond girl in the love triangle pisses me off how she talks to Jim. That's her fukkin boss.

The guy in the airplane was a real dikkhead to the flight attendant. The ending of that scene didn't sit well with me either. All of that tension and the flight attendant hugs the pilots...and that's it? GTFOH

The reporting aspect is solid as fukk, though

The reporting is what makes the show good for me.

lol nah but you gotta admit that was her fault at first....she should've just let em switch seats and that entire scene is unnecessary

this part actually needs to be in the "lets ruin a show with logic thread"

I don't think airline procedure is to call the PILOT out to handle a passenger. Especially at the gate. She would've just called security, they would've radioed it in. They would've gotten priority and that dude would've gotten yoked up in the terminal lol.

I wanna pipe Maggie. Something about that girl..

is it her HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE head, her bug eyes or her casper the ghost skin??

just fukkin with you, but this broad makes me hate this show. its a great show, but when i see two guys lusting over her, and the other had that fine ass roommate... it just ruins the flow. cause i literally start thinking, why in the hell would they cast the weirdest looking woman in the world and make her the love interest

and yet olivia munn is walking around looking great and nobody turns their head to even look. they should have put her in maggie's role, the roommate in olivia's spot, and maggie as the roommate.. then everything would have made perfect sense

other than that, and the fact that EVERY conversation involves people speed talking but still smart enough to throw in snappy jokes without a second to think....

this show is really great. i know that wasn't a real great endorsement, but i've seen every episode and i like what they are doing here. those are my only two issues and that's really a low number of critiques for a brand new show

i was on a flight.. hadn't even left the gate yet.. there's a man sitting apart from his wife and kids.. we didn't have but two sentences "hey can i sit with my family" "sure"

flight attendant walks over..... "no, he paid for that seat and you paid for yours now sit down" he tried to argue the point.. i literally did the Manny pose and shrugged and sat back down.... funny thing is we were across from each other.. wasn't any type of upgrade and the seat belt light wasn't even on

if they wanna be a bytch, they'll be a bytch... and calling one of the pilot is the procedure.. he's the captain of the ship so to speak.. he makes the call to the police if he deems it necessary.. that's why the gun is kept up there now and they doors are locked shut.. cause they're the only ones with the authority to make those calls

Dude should've got her name and wrote a letter to the airline, she was just being a bytch. 99%, they'll let people make changes when the light isn't on...they just wanna get that count straight first, but then they'll let people change. Y'all should've switched in the air, regardless, without even asking the fight attendant.

As far as the realism of the scene, it wasn't unbelievable to me. Don wasn't that unruly, so I could see her not wanting to get federal agents involved at that point. It's the pilot's plane.

The most unrealistic thing to me was the non-first class plane :scusthov:

in reality it was for the best, say something bad happens and the plane crashed and instead of that you dying that guy died because of the seat change. Now you've fukked with death and now death has to correct the pattern and come after you, setting off a chain of events that ends up leading others to their death...to their final destination. just saying :manny:

My first post in here since the first episode and I must say I love this show. The only beef I have with it are the corny, overly sympathetic scenes with the music playing that signifies this is a heartfelt moment. That said, journalists pretty much straddle the line of being complete dikks or cheesily idealistic so it really does kinda work. The Sorkinisms I'm already used to so it allows me to appreciate what is truly great dialogue. The relationship subplots are even keeping my attention. The show really shines when it comes to the mechanics of reporting a news story though. And the great thing is they've managed to not get repetitive when it comes to that. It's not just, story breaks, people rush to the phones, McAvoy goes on air and kills it while McKenzie is yelling in his ear. That would get old and parodied fairly quick. This AWN story seems like it's going to be the main arc to end the season.

I worked for an airline for 6 years, and it does happen. Especially if there's no Marshall/Law Enforcement on board.

Having security come to the plane isn't THAT simple. It takes time. Security can't just walk on to the plane and hop on like that. You'd have to call OPERATIONS so they can call RAMP AGENTS for that airline to pull stairs to the plane. Or you'd call law enforcement directly. But guess who they're gonna call to get access to the plane? RAMP AGENTS. Then the security can board. It may not sound like much but a lot of time can pass just waiting on security. Which is why sometimes a Flight Attendant will call for the Pilots. Some of these pilots have military background. It made PERFECT sense

:rudy: Forgettable to who?

To the people who don't like the show yet continue to watch it :heh:

Does anyone think this show can last 7 years like the West Wing did or will HBO throw it in the bushes as quickly as ABC got rid of Sports Night and NBC with Studio 60?

While I like the show a lot of people who've watched other Sorkin shows and movies say they see Sorkin biting himself on almost every episode so I wonder if he even has that many topics to talk about.

the humor was better this episode than others but it got a bit cheesy with the Osama stuff... it could've been worse. I thought it was solid.
