“Golf is a force for good,” DeChambeau said, “and I think as time goes on, hopefully, people will see the good that [the Saudis] are doing and what they are trying to accomplish rather than looking at the bad that’s happened before. I think moving on from that is important.”

This is the purest fukking example of sportswashing yet. "They paid me a ton of money.....look at all the good the Saudis are doing!"

On the other hand, Tiger the GOAT has spoken. shyt on Greg Norman, shyt on the golfers who have taken the money, and shyt on the quality of competition that the LIV format will lead to:

"But what these players are doing for guaranteed money, what is the incentive to practice? What is the incentive to go out there and earn it in the dirt? You're just getting paid a lot of money up front and playing a few events and playing 54 holes."

Tiger's not wrong. In the star-studded, limited-field, invitation-only LIV event.....

Event #1 was won by the World #125, with World #142 coming in 2nd

Event #2 was won by the World #120, with World #119 coming in 2nd

Branden Grace has finished 3rd and 1st in the two events so far.....same guy who hadn't managed a top-20 finish since the Zozo Championship last year, hasn't won on the PGA Tour since 2017 and pretty much just spent 2022 missing cuts until he bailed for LIV.

Only the scrubs are even fukking trying. The "decent" golfers in the field haven't done jack shyt. Why try that hard when you've already gotten your paycheck and can just mail in 54 holes for more guaranteed money?

Then let these other nikkas get paid. He made his money.

Imagine throwing on the cape for blood money from a sadistic sportswashing regime just so a handful of rich white millionaires could become slightly richer millionaires.

They all are rich and mostly white on both sides! And doesn't the U.S deal with the Saudis?

This inevitably will hurt golf as an entertainment product.

Top players jumping to LIV won't practice as much and the competition level is not going to be as high therefore they will never be in consistent top form.

PGA Tour is probably the most cutthroat pro league in all of sports. Players had to be in the top 125 in the money list to keep their tour card. No guaranteed money, no teammate to carry you, no officials to bail you out with calls, no genius coach to give you an advantage over your competitors, it's all based on how players perform week in and week out. Players have to be in top form week in and week out. It's a meat grinder, but as a spectator it's far more entertaining.

I can see why these guys took the money from the Saudis but this hurts the sport more than it helps it.

What does "they are all rich and mostly white on both sides" have anything to do with anything? I oppose Saudi Arabia's sportswashing bullshyt because they are oppressing and killing people and fund terrorist ideologies across the world including in Africa. Thousands of poor Black and Brown people are dead because of them. I don't give a shyt about the money PGA players or owners make.

Meanwhile, the ONLY argument you gave for being on LIV's side was hoping that a few spoiled rich white millionaires could become even richer for doing practically nothing. It doesn't make the game of golf better, it's not more entertaining, there's no moral justification to back it....literally the only justification for supporting LIV is caring about millionaire pocketbooks.

And doesn't the U.S deal with the Saudis?

You mean the US government? They do, and they're pieces of shyt for it. They've also sanctioned Saudi for atrocities though Trump tried to force a workaround. I condemn rich white politicians in the US government whenever they help the Saudis just like I condemn rich white golfers for it.

But - surprise - the PGA Tour is not run by the US government. So I'm failing to see the relevance of bringing them up.

Thing is... The PGA tour is probably the last place where a lot of people are ever gonna have any sympathy. Yes.. the sport itself might get real watered down and that's a problem but the PGA Tour is just not worthy at all of any sympathy..

I don't give a fukk about the Saudis. I give a fukk about people acting like they give a fukk about "human rights violations" and "atrocities " You quoted me my nikka. I said Tiger was hating. And he is. Why should I be against the golfers rights to make money? Why should I be on the PGA's side? They're all rich.
