AD should be more frustrated at the narratives of Rudy Gobert, Kawhi Leonard, and Draymond Green, since those were the players who monopolized the award in his pre "street clothes" era.
i.e. Can't get mad at Marcus Smart for winning when he played 71 games, and AD played 40. Jaren Jr only played 63, but was still more than AD's 56. Lookin at the voting results that year, AD wasn't even top 12, so it wasn't even about games played per se. Last year, sure Wemby was 2nd in votes... but Bam was 3rd.
Whatever may be going on, it's less about Wemby and more about AD having shyt luck in the viable years he's had to win it.
