so we really gonna sit here and say it was all on the stans

as if every critic in the free world wasn't giving it straight 10s, game of the year, and praising the fukk out of it

but oh, they all must be sony stans too right?

fallout 4 AI is much better

U tell your companion to sit the fukk over there and they chill till u tell them

we are talking about 2 things because fo4 AI is terrible. ai is the npc friend or foe making informed decisions without player commands. the enemies in fallout detect you and rush you. naught dog ai detect you, command each other, use the envIronment, flank, double team, beg for their life, dodge, sneak up on you...and they make these decisions on the fly.

You dapped this post :laff:

"Got every aspect right" sounds like a lot like perfect to me

There's also this, implying that this is the pinnacle of video game A.I. and anything more would be real life.:francis:

But you're right, nobody used the word "Perfect"
you hate Sony we get it already

RDR, MGS IV, GTA V, ME2, UC2, Arkham City, AC2, Max Payne 3 and Dark Souls, off the top of my head, are games that were way better than TLOU last gen.

Based on what? Since UC2 and TLOU are similar games, what makes you think one is way better?

This. Which is why it comes off as nitpicky when people complain about AI seeing companions. The AI raiders are great when they encounter the player char. You can point an empty gun at an enemy, and he might surrender, but if you pull the trigger and he hears it click, he'll charge you. There are so many examples of how dynamic the AI is that most people don't notice or overlook the few times its not perfect.

Based on gameplay and how the final product stacked up against what the game intended to do. To me the plot of TLOU wasn't that great, it's by no means bad but nowhere near "the pinnacle of gaming narrative". There also wasn't a single powerful moment in the game, at least visually, unlike in UC2 when I first got to Shambala and my mind was blown(Giraffes weren't that great:manny:). Mainly though Uncharted 2 was just better to play I felt way more immersed in the Uncharted world can't say the same for TLOU. Don't get me wrong breh, it isn't bad by any stretch of the word but this "best game last gen" shyt needs to die.

Fair and that's your opinion, but I couldn't disagree more. I think the gameplay in both games were in alignment with the overall themes of the stories. The powerful moments in TLOU came from interactions between the characters, not just graphics. Lots of games have amazing visuals for their gen, but not too many can get the player to empathize with game characters. And I think that's why most people put it up there with some of the GOATs. Hell, I think UC2 deserve to be in the convo too, but I'd still give the nod to TLOU first.

Too bad its not going to die. Its a top 3 game of last gen easily.

:mjlol: @ no powerful moment. People are still talking about the ending to this day. fukk outta here. That giraffe scene was immensely powerful.

And :mjlol: @ talking about the gameplay and what it intended to be when I just checked your trophies and sure enough, you only played it on normal.

Talking about immersion when youve never experienced tlou like it was meant to be played.

That's a good point. And you sayin the opening scene where Joel and his daughter are stopped by a soldier isn't powerful? And the end where he's carrying Ellie thru the hospital and gets stopped by the black Firefly chick? The dualities of those scenes ain't powerful?!? The fukk???

Lol and to say uncharted is >>>>> got me dead right now.

Like I have replayed 1-3 twice but if you asked me to recite any dialogue or sum up the stories I'd be at a loss for words to be honest. The uncharted games are good, lighthearted silly fun but the stories are kinda goofy, especially when they dive into the supernatural stuff. I remember set pieces sure.

I still vividly remember almost every cut scene in tlou. The black family wasnt powerful? David revealing himself wasnt powerful? Ellie killing david wasnt powerful? The game is fukking one brilliant scene after another.

I have never experienced a game that made me emotionally care about the characters until tlou. The writing and characterization are so far above every other game its not even funny. Dudes talking about mgs :dead: like that shyt aint the most goofy convoluted bullshyt in all of video games.

Alright, which difficulty do you recommend then? Giraffe scene wasn't as powerful as seeing Shambhala for the first time or riding into Mexico in RDR(and the ending for that matter) or crawling through the microwave in MGS IV, hell even walking out with Joker's dead body in Arkham City. Why so defensive, I didn't even say it was a bad game, just educate a brother and keep it moving:yeshrug:
