Yeah I'm not buying this shyt about there being no bosses or not enough enemy types :stopitslime:

IF you think that then you didn't play the game on hard or grounded mode. When your supplies are limited as fukk and you got a bloater, clickers, and runners coming after you, its enough of a fukkin challenge. Bloaters themself are hard enough to be bosses when you not playing on casual mode.

Going through half the game with 2 nail bombs at max and a scraggly fukking shotgun shell and you run into one of those fukkers is the L of Ls

You're still in the minority percentage though breh :troll:

But all jokes aside, tell me why this nikka @Prodigal Syndicate and the rest of you shills are acting like beating Last of Us on hard or worse is some sort of achievement :mjlol:

What brownie points are you gonna get for that? This isn't a From Software game, this isn't a Platinum game, this isn't Devil May Cry, this isn't Ninja Gaiden, this isn't even God of War. Beating Last of Us on hard means...you beat Last of Us on hard :russ:
As I said when I first entered the thread, you can tell who played the game on easy/normal or watched it on youtube.

Sure enough all the other clowns can't provide proof they played the game and you played on normal.

Youve gone from ignorant to clown with this post.

Anybody thats played the game on the higher difficulty can tell you the game becomes completely and fundamentally different. Its not about an achievement you dweeb, its about experiencing the game the way it was intended.

You played a nerfed version where you had your hand held, therefore your opinion holds 0 weight.

The difficulty raise doesnt make enemies become bullet sponges. It makes the gameplay match the enviroment and story.

On normal you always have an abundance of supplies, listen mode is basically a cheat code for casuals and ai is dumb.

On survival/grounded the ai is intelligent. Listen mode is gone. Supplies are scarce. You have to completely rely on sound and your wits. Every encounter becomes a tense experience, each one a puzzle that can be solved in multiple ways.

The difference between life and death is a bottle being thrown and your ai partner. You routinely enter every encounter with almost nothing to work with but your own skill.

But you don't know any of this because you havent played it.

On the highest difficulty she absolutely was an essential part of the game.

The game is completely different on the highest difficulty. Not just, enemies are now bullet sponges.

The game truly becomes about survival and everything, including ellie becomes important.

The vast majority of people completed the game on easy, you can check the stats.

This is very true. Didn't mean much on Easy or Normal, but without Listening Mode being available on Grounded, you really have to pay attention.
Ellie comes into play huge there, because there were countless of instances in my Grounded playthrough when she saw an enemy before I did and alerted me.
She frequently would verbally alert you to enemies out of your eyesight, maybe rounding the corner to your right or entering the room from the left.
In the middle of combat it was nothing for her to scream and alert the player that an enemy was behind them if they were preoccupied with another enemy or just unaware.
She definitely played a bigger role on the higher difficulties.

I can't stress how important this single point is. Compare this to a game like Fallout 4. Difficulty in that game translates to enemies that take more damage, and it's harder to heal the player character. In TLOU, not only are those things true, (in fact, several enemies can one-hit kill you) weapons & ammo are truly scarce. Constantly finding yourself with only one or two bullets left reinforces the overall theme the game is trying to put across that day to day life is a struggle because resources are limited. You feel that sense of desperation when you're unsure if your 2x4 will shatter into pieces the next time you use it against an enemy. Those emotions can't be as intense when playing on lower difficulties, when you often have several weapons on you with full magazines, and can literally see through walls. That's why everyone is laughing at you for playing on normal...it's not how the game should be played, and you did yourself a disservice in doing so.

RDR, MGS IV, GTA V, ME2, UC2, Arkham City, AC2, Max Payne 3 and Dark Souls, off the top of my head, are games that were way better than TLOU last gen.
Don't get me wrong it's still a great game(8-8.5/10) just nowhere near as impeccable as it was made to seem.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
I think the main reason why this game is overrated is Sony stans. They always too melodramatic (like the music in the game) and try to hype up every exclusive.

This game is 7/10 at best. The shyttiest AI in a highly rated game I've ever seen. Your companions running around the enemies while you are hiding and it is like they don't exist. This shyt ruins the gameplay, which is not so great to begin with.

The story is shytty too. Another zombie game :gag:. Ellen Page as Ellie :comeon:. This game lacks originality, there is nothing special about it. Just another 6.5/10-7/10 game.

And sony stans claim it as the best game of the past generation. :laff:
so we really gonna sit here and say it was all on the stans

as if every critic in the free world wasn't giving it straight 10s, game of the year, and praising the fukk out of it

but oh, they all must be sony stans too right?
