Also Michelin isn't simply grading on "is this food full of flavor" but rather the plating, the ambiance, where the ingredients are sourced, how the ingredients are paired, etc.
Unfortunately you would be hard pressed to find a black owned restaurant that has a consistent high level customer service and dining experience. I cant blame them too much cause black restaurants tend to cater to black patrons who dont demand or care as much about anything other food being full of flavor.

....
Michelin Inspector’s 5 Restaurant Rating Criteria:
1. Quality of products
2. Mastery of flavour and cooking techniques
3. The personality of the chef represented in the dining experience
4. Harmony of flavours
5. Consistency between inspectors’ visits

Of course the ATL
Noticed this too. They, quite frankly, dominate the list. Demera in Chicago is Ethiopian and so is Barcote, Cafe Romanat, and Meals by Genet in California.

Ethiopians just may also be overrepresented in the culinary space. Think of chef Marcus Samuelsson.

Speaking of black owned restaurants he just opened up a new restaurant in Edgewood: Marcus Bar & Grille

They make tires. I been to many Michelin star restaurants and most are nothing that special outside of the appetizers

If you’re coming to Atlanta and spending your time going to surface level wing and vibe spots then you’re not really going to find great diversity of options.
Never said that’s what I did
It kinda feels like you went to Juicy Crab and “insert hookah bar/Sunday brunch spot” and formed your opinion based off of that
I said these place seem to dominate the restaurant scene. I did not say I eat in these places.

Out of curiosity. Are you impressed with Atlanta's restaurant scene? What are your top Restaurants to there and where do you rank Atlanta globally?

Yes I am impressed with the Atlanta restaurant scene. As an Atlanta native and someone who has seen the restaurant scene go from only a few nice restaurants to nice restaurants of all cuisines open everywhere the restaurant scene here has continued to dramatically improve.

I posted this a few replies ago but here are some of my top restaurants in Atlanta:

Atlas
Miller Union
The Chastain
Chops Lobster Bar
Umi
Kevin Rathbun’s Steakhouse
The Optimist
Sotto Sotto
Marcel
Superica
Rumi’s Kitchen

You’re asking about globally and that’s a different argument. I could give a fukk about that TBH. I responded to you saying the Atlanta scene felt “gimmicky & repetitive”. If you’re talking about a certain subset of restaurants like The Real Milk & Honey or Atlanta Breakfast Club that are brunch/soul food/vibes and hookah type spots then that’s not what I’m talking about at all.

Atlanta
Atlanta food scene is respectable in its own right. We aren’t Chicago, New York or Los Angeles but we got a good variety of options and quality.

I haven’t been to a spot like UBar, Milk and Honey, Atlanta Breakfast Club in years. Those spots are for tourists.

Glad the good stuff is relatively unknown still

Both Michelin and Keith Lee came to Atlanta and said "nah, this ain't it."

Atlanta boosters are something else. Give it a rest breh-lol.
