ATL got some of the best food spots, and the variety. Cheese steaks, chicken wings, soul food, sea food, whatever u looking for. This spot called just round the corner right next to the State farm arena is perfect when u going to the game, Jamaican dude that runs the place throws down.

Atlanta's that city where u need to be smacked in the back of the head if u from outta town going to Chipotle's and spots like that, u really missing out.

No. The topic is too niche and sensitive for a bloomberg Instagram post. Just look at the comments on the post most are dismissive or racist af which is predictable. The reporting would be valid if bloomberg was based in Atlanta (or even the south) or if they had a significant black audience.

What if the topic was the exact opposite? Bloomberg reporting that the Michelin winners were dominated by highly talented black chefs reflective of the black talent Atlanta draws to the city. Would you still say Bloomberg lacks the nuance to report on the subject and should refrain from doing so? The comments are neither here nor there.

ATL to MEM
If you Travel Atlanta is mid as fukk food wise. Like it doesn't suck but its nothing there super memorable.

I honestly can’t think of a black owned restaurant I would say deserves a star here. Food usually isnt actually that good at the sit down spots, people just overhype it because they play music and it’s a “vibe”.

Luellas is bougie ass white ppl soul food and fried chicken. uh uh

You talking about Luella's in Chicago?
Luella's is good. High quality ingredients.
Lots of flavor. Not the most inventive but reliable and very consistent.
My only issue with Luella is that their menu is severely limited. I first started going in 2014 and their menu hasn't updated and includes the same 6-10 items.

And i go when im in DC foods usually good wouldnta thought it was Michelin level
same with Beatstro, Melbas, & Spoonbread in the city. Beatstro a vibe tho as they say

I actually feel this way about the Chicago restaurants.

Demera - I don't care for Ethiopian cuisine much. It's not bad, the food doesn't stand out enough for me to go out of my way to get it.

Ina Mae - Is the best one on the list.
Virtue - Don't care for at all. Their menu is lazy even though the restaurant tries to present as "haute" cuisine. Have gone three times and had their vegetarian dishes. No thought behind them. Feels like they were just thrown on the menu to satisfy vegetarians.

You read that article and came to the conclusion that "They said there is no good food in Atlanta"

there are less than 250 restaurants in all of America with a Michelin rating.

Also, there is a whole universe of food outside of the typical ATL black cuisine grass wall hybrid lounge/club experience.

ATL? They all cook the same shyt. Chicken and waffles, oxtail, Mac n cheese stuffed drumsticks, etc

No. No they don’t, smh

Not saying there are more Michelin star worthy restaurants than chosen, but that is a terrible take spoken like someone who maybe has only been to Atlanta for a concert, sporting events or to party.

Yeah its really odd Black people are using this as an indicator of food superiority for their city.

Its an exclusive award given primarily to chefs with French and Asian cooking backgrounds.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all since it's a positive story and would be informative to a wide audience.
