Mindfulness meditation, please practice it. It will enhance your life 10 fold

my wife has taken it up within the last two months and both she and i have noticed positive results from it. Me and my daughter join her from time to time as well. Start at one minute intervals and go from there. She has an app that plays nature sounds to help focus her thoughts.

Yep, I am not surprised at all

This one professor from Harvard, Sara lazar conducted a study showing that meditation alters physical aspects of your brain related to stress and cognition.

I've been oversleeping for years now, went to sleep last night around midnight, woke up at 9:30, ate breakfast and took a nap in which I woke up at 1:30PM :beli:

I be so tired in the mornings that I don't even feel like taking my antidepressants (Wellbutin and two pills of Zoloft) today I took them at night, gonna start taking them at night now if the side effects aren't too bad. Also I tend to be more depressed/wishing I die at night rather than the daytime so maybe taking my meds at night will help with that :lupe: I also take a schizo medication around 10PM.

Hopefully everything will work out.

Do you work out breh? Meditate? Gotta keep your body in decent condition. Try the 100 push up a day challenge. 10 push-ups an hour throughout the day if you can't crank them out otherwise. Get your body, spirit and mind on the same page through repetitive meditation.

Are you drinking water? 2 bottles a day, especially with the pills you are taking.

How is your fruit intake? Ginger and apple shots. Spinach and apple. If you have a food blender you are set. Otherwise a box of mandarin oranges

:blessed:

I saw your previous post about laying in bed and not doing anything else. With consistency, you'll only want to sleep even when you feel fine. I've definitely been there. Would basically have to cancel my whole Sunday and sometimes the weekend when it got really bad.

Just felt like I was in a hole and even though others stretched their hands, I wasn't ready to come out.

Routine. Routine. Routine. We settle into one very quietly with work, school, relationships. And while routine is good we also have to be selective of where that routine is created and for what purpose. You can definitely get out of the bed and break that routine.

I'm rooting for you.

I use to have a gym membership but canceled it cause of the Covid pandemic. I have a power twister for home workouts. I also go on long walks when the weather is nice.

I drink LOTS of water, but my diet is :trash: lots of junk food, etc.

I'm very inconsistent with eating fruit, I mainly eat, Apples, oranges and watermelon from time to time.

Yeah, diet is a direct contributor to attitude and mood.

I won't say give it up all at once but the junk food has to be cut back.

Not sure where you live but add a salad with some fruits and drink water with it. That will cool your body. Any combination of blueberries/blackberries with cashews/almonds/walnuts/peanuts (unsalted if you can) will have you full and collected.

Make some pasta with lean turkey or chicken. Eat it over 2 days then move on to something that interests you. Or even eat junk food and note the difference in how your body feels.

Great plug for you to write a journal documenting your day.

Finally, put on some music that will put a smile on your face. 80s pop, 90s r&b, jazz, classical music. No cussing and negativity if possible.

Working out hasn't done anything for me both spiritually or mentally.

Only thing I get from working out is muscles which I don't really have. I notice my pecs are building up, but other than that, nothing.

An update on my driving is that I failed my driving test today, but I'm not as mad as I thought I would be.

I turn 25 on 4 months, and nothing has really changed. Still at a job I wanna leave (I might leave any day, now), still can't drive, still don't have a girlfriend, still dealing with Anxiety and body twitches, still nothing. Only thing that really did change is I bought my first car 1 1/2 months ago, but it doesn't mean anything since I don't have a license.

:yeshrug:

Driving is harder than I thought, even though I've driven around the city by myself to get a feel for it.

I don't know why people choose to make videos on ADHD, like what is it for?

Because I can't relate, I've been in special ed classes my whole life, don't know math, Etc.

The shyt sucks, Breh. On top of that, nobody is willing to understand. Teachers get mad when you ask too many questions and people call you retarded when you ask them too many questions.

On the other hand, I do wish I knew more people with ADHD, we would probably get along. Majority of my friends in high school had it.
