I just discount the two sequels and consider The Matrix as a great stand alone action flick.

The Matrix Reloaded is better than the first one to me. The Matrix Revolutions is the crappy one of the series.

The Matrix Reloaded has one of the best chains of set pieces in cinema. The fight in the great hall through the freeway scene is better than anything the first movie had.

I tried to do that so hard, breh. I've done it to most movies with sequels that fell off but that open ending and sequel hook to the first Matrix was too powerful.

The series went to shyt in the third one. The second one is mad slept on and I love the scene with the architect which basically flipped the story on its head. The third one killed the story when they concluded with having agent smith being the main antagonist rather than the machines themselves. Then making peace with the machines. Always though

That Architect scene blew my mind back then. That cliffhanger ending was dope too.
