Most of the stuff in the bible wasn't written to be taken literally. Historically the bible wasn't taken literally. It's a fairly new concept to think of the bible as a literal word for word account if history.

he took DNA samples just in case the flood was so bad that it did wipe out entire species.

Also, look up the "svalbard global seed vault". They have copies of every plant on the planet locked away in the artic. Wont be long till we keep dna snips for every animal. Real noahs arc is on the way brehs.

Never really took this story serious. I mean, noah was a fukking drunk. He prolly made it all up and people rolled with it. I believe the people in the bible existed, but the tales are mostly allegories.

There's plenty of people who believe the whole world flooded, there's a ton of that ignorance on youtube. 15,000 animals is still impossible for 8 people to feed and clean up after. What about all the food they would eat? What about the feces? How are you going to stop animals from killing eachother?

According to scholars, there weren't 15,000 since that number is arrived at by trying to translate 'kind' into 'species'. The actual count of animals is less than 300 total. Leviticus and Deuteronomy list those animals deemed 'clean' and 'unclean' and those lists combined total about 30 animals.

The only ones trying to state that there was an extremely large amount of animals are Creationists who don't believe evolution to be a viable theory, and atheists who like to criticize everything in the Bible without bothering to research what it contains.

Both are missing the point of the narrative.
