Soldier (1) or Infiltrator (2).
Anything else was for cheevo farming and represents clear indoctrination.
And AR wasn't in ME1, only really useful in some fights in ME2. Didn't even use AR in 3, just maxed over -200% cooldown and moved everybody and their moms down in real time.
