I can't believe anything Sampson says. I had to turn off the interview midway in the second segment; he disgusts me.
They were tired of being in last place even after they spent a bunch of money so they blew it up and start over. I think that's complete bullsh!t. Hanley & Bell I can understand but not this trade. Reyes had a good year, why trade him away? They back-loaded his contract so I assume they never intended keeping him beyond two years. Lebatard mentioned Puljos was seriously considering coming to the Marlins but they refused a no-trade clause. Marlins management are shady and, going forward, no one will have faith in them no matter how they try to spin this.

I felt he did, or at least tried to. Sampson is good at not giving straight answers. Plus he made it seem like the Marlins had no choice to make those trades.

Shed tears? What will be Stanton's motivation to play well for this team? They just pretty much abandoned him to save payroll and stack up paper. Everyone already knows how good he is. He could barely try and still have enough demand for him when he walks.

.The worst thing about this is them insisting that they aren't trading him at all while gutting the team entirely. If he gets traded, I'll be very excited (as long as it aint in the division unless of course it was to the Mets but lemme stop thinking of such fairy tales

I didn't know the Blue Jays had a rich history in adding this kind of payroll and how do you know they aren't going to flip a couple of these guys? I've already seen rumors about possible Reyes deals.
