Honestly the Jays still might not be good, Buck and Bonifacio are nothing special unless you think .250 hitters with low obp are special. Buehrle is gonna be Larry Holmes status in the AL, Reyes and Johnson might both be damaged goods and/or injury prone.

Believe it or not it aint a terrible deal for the Marlins. Its almost equivalent to what the Red Sox did with the Dodgers.

Buck was a throw in jays have arencibia and d'arnaud

Bonifacio has speed and decent ba against lefties

Buerhle 13 seasons of 30 straight starts or more, he pitched in the al all his career

Josh Johnson Signed for one year
Reyes will be fine jays are installing grass

:wtf2: You know that makes no sense right? So in one year after leaving the AL he is suppose to be Larry Holmes? :stopitslime:

Stop talking about their rings. Those were lucky accidents to the owners. They could careless about those two rings. They swindled money from Miami citizens so they could build a new stadium and then trade off all their valuable players for next to nothing.

The franchise is a disgrace and this is Selig's fault for the rules he has in place that allows this bullshyt

I care about the rings.

We won the same amount of rings as the Mets. We have won 2 in twenty years while the Cubs are still searching for their first in 100+ years.

So you don't care that your team basically has no intention of being competitive? Only to every 5-10 years spend money to swindle MORE money out of the community, only to sell off the entire team the next season? That don't plague your mind?

Of course I do. I'm much more worried from a non-sport/competing standpoint. The taxpayers got swindled as the commissioners and Marlins basically performed a financial circle jerk for that stadium and land.

What I am saying is, aside from all this fukkery, we still have done more in 20 years than other "historic" teams have done in their entire existence.

This isn't the NBA this is baseball....teams that spend the most $$$ does not = championships/success necessarily...look @ Oakland, TB, etc. sometimes its better to get rid of bad contracts than to be held hostage with them for many years...

Plus lets see what they do the rest of the offseason maybe sign some vets to 1-2 year deals to mix with all the young talent :manny:

Red Sox don't have a history of dumping salary like the Marlins do. What makes this situation worse than previous occurrences is that they JUST signed these players last year after they promised to spend and build a competitive team. They lied to the city and essentially had tax payers build them a stadium. The only one that benefits from this move is Marlins ownership. I hope the MLB blocks this trade; this sh!t is ridiculous.

Loria better sign someone or else blood will be in the streets . How can you shed payroll to now get money from the bigger teams ?
even though your capable of signing players and have a new stadium public funded after promising to field a competitive team .this is ridiculous
