I'm starting to think Star Wars works better as a live action show than the trash movies they put out.

I think the main difference is we know Lucas knew the basic backstory of his characters in A New Hope to plot out their arc( not everything obviously)

The main problem I had with Force Awakens is it didn’t seem like they knew what happened in the years since ROJ to get that setup.

I need Bill Burr to be in Better Call Saul. Listening to his podcast, you can tell he wants to and enjoys acting. His two episodes on this show were amazing performances, and he was dope on Breaking Bad too. I hope he gets more roles, but doesn't abandon standup. I've missed seeing his act twice now in person

He was the best part of this episode. It was great seeing him actually do some dramatic work in the bar and it was solid. I was impressed and I hope he’s in season 3

Has she even acknowledged this? Other youtubers podcast's reported her rumors and there was a lot of concern about the show completely changing direction or just having a huge drop in quality because the trailer footage stopped at episode 4. Even double toasted

If anything the show has gotten better after the trailer footage,which seems to have stopped right before Bo Katan showed up. It's that one time they show none of the good stuff in the trailer. Not even a frame.

The movies are centered around the Skywalker saga, and I think it's too convoluted at this point & boring. The entire Star Wars universe is so much more than the Skywalkers, and The Mandalorian showed how they can make new stories outside of the saga in live action form & be great just like the animated stuff.

They probably don't, but the she and others were trying to say trailer itself was indicative of trouble. They knew the trailer footage was the first half of the season,while the general public had just saw mando footage. Someone was feeding them something and part of that was Favreau saying they would explore some new characters. He was 100% right,but people like Grace took it as Mando and the main story taking a back seat. She,'s even trying to sneak diss on Filoni every chance she gets. I feel no shame in calling her out. She was in her bag even though she has never understood what good star wars is?

I swear he's talked about something like that before. He constantly talks about politicians being warmongers so that they can line their pockets without any repercussions of what they've done. During the pandemic, he's been shytting on how selfish people who don't wear masks are too. And any mention of banking, dude just goes off. So that dialog from Mayfeld felt like a genuine Bill Burr rant

Not as an absolute. Some content works better because it needs a longer run to develop the idea.

The bigger thing is having a cohesive vision and connection to the SW lore. That was the downfall of the recent trilogy.

2) every episode they give us something...at least 1 thing to really to go crazy over and this week it was Slave-1 unleashing the sonic charges on the tie fighters.


3 loved Mando giving Gideon the speech at the end.

Sure. This thread is the reason why we get shyt like GoT season 7 and 8.

I keep hearing how great this show is. If I thought season 1 and season 2 episode 1 was , should I give this another go? Is there an actual story?

Bill Burr got the easiest job in the world. Shows up on set and reads every line without even pretending to care about his accent.

At this rate the youngins are going to eventually watch the OG movies and say "Oh wow Boba Fett is in this" as opposed to us saying that while watching the Mandalorian. Bruh is kicking ass right now.
