You got to let it go. I'm definitely enjoying the show but its 100% pure fan service to the highest degree. I've said the same thing numerous times but tv and film wise, SW will never expand past the Skywalkers. Its the ultimate cheat code and crutch for them.
Yeah
I wish they would move past it too
Maybe once Disney runs through everything they will

brehs I don't give af about critics but it's weird that The Last Jedi has rave reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Why did the critics love that mess? At least with Rise of Skywalker it was rightfully shyt on..

What about The Last Jedi did they like?
The Last Jedi exists solely to appease rabid 10th wave feminists and the LGBTQ community

To criticize it would be a bold move in these days and times

But it's ok...what we're seeing in Mandalorian and everything else that Disney is developing is an admission that it was trash and that they fukked up

Or maybe we can do an X-Men series with no mutants next...that'll put butts in the seats :mjlol:

When are they gonna move on from this skywalker shyt? This deep "universe" people love is surprisingly dependent on one fukking character.

They are. That's what all this High Republic stuff is about. It's going to seed future events. Also, I don't think you make a character like Grogu, who at 50 is still a child, if you don't have long term plans. They can pimp him out for the next 50 years, and he'll still be in his prime years. This is why they brought Feige in. The sequel trilogy isn't going anywhere. So right now they just need to fix the damage with the fans. Get them all happy, and at the same time, plant seeds for the future so that way they're all on board for when Disney is ready to make the jump.

The High Republic is set 200 years before ANH.

The Bo Katan thing makes no sense. Sabine gave her the Dark Saber. The only thing I can think of is that there must have been some real fukkery that happened. Like when it was important to be united against the Empire, there were some bytch ass Mandalorians, who pointed out that she did win the Dark Saber from Maul. This disinformation campaign caused a whole lot of discord. It would be a twist if it was Din's sect of Mandalorians that was behind it. Some people have pointed out that the Armorer may be honoring Maul since she has spikes on her helmet. If that little rumor is true, then she would know for sure that the only one who defeated Maul in combat, was Darth Sidious. Even if that's not the case, they're hard core about following the ways of the true Mandalore. They would see Bo Katan as a fraud. So now she knows that she can't come back with that shyt, and not have won it in combat. She was probably going to have Sasha Banks film the fight, put it on the HoloNet, and let it go viral.

Pretty confident they are going to bury the DT as an alternate timeline of events...

I think everyone, including Kennedy, has come to terms with the fact it was a disaster that nearly ruined the franchise, hence the stronger focus on Rebels and hands off approach with Feige and Favreau...

If you watched SW Rebels, there is a way the DT can be split into a separate timeline, the "world between worlds" which is part of the Ashoka series logo...

There is obviously going to be strong emphasis on timeline/travel...

The High Republic is set 200 years before ANH.

They said that the High Republic stuff is going to explore areas of the Star Wars galaxy that hasn't been explored before. So it being 200 years before ANH is to just get it out of the way of current canon, and to set up events that can be used later.

Anything that can be set up for later has to contend with the shyt that is the new trilogy, so i will wait and see. Rather them do something 1000-2000 years ago instead.

I've felt for awhile now that the world between worlds would be used to retcon something. I don't think it'll be the whole sequel trilogy though.
