Ashoka and Grogu being alive post the sequel trilogy is probably what they are setting up.

Grogu trained by Luke and Ahsoka teaching a new way forward. Ghost Luke!!

Bruh this season was like 1up extra life to a dying character in a video game. The idea of Ahsoka meeting the son of her master and sharing stories with him before his fall. Grogu spearheading the new school of jedi and telling rey “nah bih thats my namesake”

How well season 3 does with more options Star Wars-wise and without Grogu is probably gonna dictate how much longer the series goes. If Mando can do numbers and carry the show himself without Grogu then it's gonna be a long series. :ehh:

give this show 4 seasons and have the rest of it being about Mando “finding himself” and getting to a point where he’s no longer constantly going from place to place. Let the breh have a good nights sleep and a proper shower for once :russ:

Looking back at it, that line HAD to be intentional.

Why didn't anyone ask who luke was?
"A Jedi" was all they needed to know. As far as Mando is concerned, ANY Jedi is a mythological space wizard that his ancestors fought against but is considered "Grogu's people". He doesn't care what his name is.

Does Moff Gideon know who Luke is?
What was it he said to Mando? Something like "Assume I know everything". If he knew Din's backstory before he met him, of course he knew who Luke was.

Here's a weird thought I had today.
What happens if the Mandalorian team never even tried to rescue Grogu?

Grogu had already reached out to Luke through the Force so he was already on his way. He still would have found the ship, and obviously had the power to easily kill all the Dark Troopers. Then, a non-Force user like Moff Gideon would be NOTHING to Luke. So, what would that mean? The Luke would easily get the Darksaber and become its rightful owner himself.

Good luck to ANY Mandalorian trying to get it back to reclaim the throne, then.

Luke would take it and hide it away he wouldn't wield it I don't think. Or maybe try to give it to someone he thought could use it responsibly :yeshrug:

They don’t know who he reached out to and definitely nothing to suggest the Jedi could or would save him.
