Looking back at it, that line HAD to be intentional.

"A Jedi" was all they needed to know. As far as Mando is concerned, ANY Jedi is a mythological space wizard that his ancestors fought against but is considered "Grogu's people". He doesn't care what his name is.

What was it he said to Mando? Something like "Assume I know everything". If he knew Din's backstory before he met him, of course he knew who Luke was.

Here's a weird thought I had today.
What happens if the Mandalorian team never even tried to rescue Grogu?

Grogu had already reached out to Luke through the Force so he was already on his way. He still would have found the ship, and obviously had the power to easily kill all the Dark Troopers. Then, a non-Force user like Moff Gideon would be NOTHING to Luke. So, what would that mean? The Luke would easily get the Darksaber and become its rightful owner himself.

Good luck to ANY Mandalorian trying to get it back to reclaim the throne, then.
Moff would've had time and opportunity to kill Grogu. Probably would've been dead by the time Luke got to him. Unless Luke could sense what Moff was going to do and somehow use the force to incapacitate him remotely.

bad writing
how is that bad writing? Ahsoka told Din that Grogu would reach out through the force and if a Jedi sensed it they would come. He saw the lightsaber and obviously knew Luke was a jedi. The man just had to part ways with his figurative son, at that point I don't think he really cares who luke exactly is or what his backstory is, he just knew that he could help Grogu.

Dope finale

My only complaint is Disney has wayyyy too much money for Young Luke’s face to look so janky.
the face itself didn't look too bad, it was mainly his lips when he was talking. Looked like a video game character. they should've just used sebastian stan and called it a day. We don't need an identical looking Luke, especially if they plan to use him in the future at all. But it was also cool knowing that was actually Mark Hamill and he finally got to play the real Luke again.

i heard that tech is mad expensive thats why we really only got about 2 minutes tops of his actual face.

Which sucks because a show with luke training grogu would break records. Question is whats next for grogu because he is too much of a merchendising goldmine to just end his arc. Having him grow into a young yoda is a billion dollar franchise itself
