Retro chairs? They look fly on IG, but I don't know if I would fukk with them in real life. You want your home to be comfortable.
A sectional couch is still the wave.

I got a sofa coming on the way and I got a small leather chair. Of course I'd like to try some of this in person.

I want to go for modern but not sterile. I'm trying to think of ways I can make my place warm but balance other things I want in it.

My father has this but I don't think it's hung up so I may want to put it in my place.

You even have just a plain one-bedroom apartment, all you need is some nice furniture to 1. make it look comfortable and inviting, and 2. organize stuff. If you apartment looks like a dump, that's on you. I had a clean living room and dining room in a 1-bedroom apartment, but the bedroom was a mess though.
I stored my clothes in plastic bins. Didn't have dressers.

Aye breh... I'm late to the thread but I'll toss in a few ideas.

1. Floating shelves.
2. Hardwood/faux wood flooring
3. Minimalist staging of big furniture.
4. Mood lighting or lamp centric lighting.
.... this is odd tho because a space holds a personality and this might not be your wave. I'll just read. My girl say my taste is not homely...it looks like a 60th story waiting room to meet an executive.
