I hear my voice in my head and music too, as clear as I would hear it if I put the song on.

Sometimes some of my favorite songs will be playing in my head and I dont even have to turn them on cause I am literally playing it in my mind and it sounds just like the record.

For instance the other day I couldn't get Mariah Careys Hero out of my head. It was playing on repeat in my mind for hours. Yesterday I couldn't get Marvin Gayes "Hitchhike" out of my mind.

And now that I just typed it, its playing in my head right now

i would be surprised if there was wholesale consensus in any scientific study. the whole point of the peer review process of studies, and research, is to scrutinize findings and challenge assertions. so yes, i did read that and i'm not surprised. it does not, however, invalidate his lifes work lol

i mean... the society that's telling you that...half of it can't do it. the other half thinks its normal but doing it too much is abnormal.

That's interesting. My voice inside my head, I can't really tell what it sounds like, but it's always the same. But with me, my thoughts are more diagrams and pictures. I don't have a photographic memory, but I can replay scenes like I was there (though the details may be wrong)

I have a pretty good memory. Not photographic though. But I rarely forget anything.

I was cleaning out my office last year, and was coming across stuff from over a decade ago and I remembered every single thing.

As far as my voice, it sounds like me. At least, what I think I sound like. For instance, I just realized that as I was typing this, I was talking in my head while I was typing out what I wanted to say.

I can't say that I think in diagrams and pictures though. In fact, I don't think I do. I've used that excuse to get many a photo from women, the whole "I'm a quintessential visual man, if I don't see you constantly, I'll forget what you look like"

But there was truth to that. I don't think in pictures, now that I think about it.

When I was a kid I use to literally enjoy being by myself and just thinking about everything. Like I would have legit conversations with myself in my head. Like when we evacuated for Katrina my sister were so mad they were goin to be in the car for 18+ hour I was legit happy cuz I was just goin to sit in the car and be lost in my thoughts.
