Cool pics @IllmaticDelta...props

In our language(surinamese) we still use a lot of words with a direct african ancestry."Unu" means "us" in our dialect."Okro" =okra,"na" means to be as in "Mi na"= I am.Redi or bonkoro =redbone.A lot of false claiming though amongst descendants of slaves in South America, depending on where you are.Claming Ashanti heritage is popular amongst the older people but it's been known that most of the slaves in Suriname are from Central africa and the westcoast(Benin,Ivorycoast,Ghana etc..). Some of the descendants of the runaway slaves (Ba'ala/djuka) have retained way more of the original speech and i've heard them actually speak to born Africans and understand each other although the meaning and pronounciation of words had changed.

Do you know which area in Central Africa? I'm from CAR but from what I've heard (haven't really done the research tbh) not many slaves were taken from the current CAR...probably because part of the area was already under-populated (still is) because of the Arab razzias in the North...:mjcry:

The type in that region (Bight of Biafra) are the types that I associate with Aframs who look like/or some variation of

Plenty of Aframs look South Eastern Nigerian rooted, not many look Yoruba. You have Ghanaian, Senegalese, Sahelian etc..rooted & modified, looking Aframs.

most of you nikkas don't look like igbos. in fact i've barely come into contact with nikkas that look like they could be yoruba. but most of you would be yoruba as opposed to igbo because that's where the british set foot first

and igbo do not make the entire southeastern region of nigeria there are like 4 other ethnic groups in that region

Your sources are not definitive evidence, nor does it say the "majority" of AA's do. But also it depends on the region of America. Most AA's in the Carolinas and Georgia actually descend from Sahelian Africans, while those from the Maryland/Mid-Atlantic descend from Igbos/Nigerians.

But more importantly AA's are extremely mixed when it comes to African ancestry. There is more than one African ancestry in AA's due to mixing.

Aframs have very little Yoruba

Im grouping the entire region together so it's Igboid and related types

Disrespect folks that have done their lineage trace brehs..Majority of African americans can trace their roots back to Southeastern Nigeria breh...

And you seen ALL these genetic test done on AA's????????? Like I said AA's are extremely MIXED when it comes to ancestry. Morgan Freemen actually has ancestry from the Sonnike people and Tuareg people! A judge(forget her name) has ancestry from the Hausa people.

Chris Tucker has ancestry from Angola. Again mixed...

Aframs have very little Yoruba
says who:wtb:

in brazil, parts of the south like NO, and the caribbeans they still practice yoruba animism and they can still name all the yoruba gods and the original history, if igbos were the majority they would have carried more of our culture practices but they don't
