Jay's AG is dope. But this Townes Van Zandt album is freaking great. I literally bought it off the strength of the song "Lungs" that played at the end of ep. 7 of true detective..

This is a really dope album. I highly recommend it..

That Van Zandt album is great.

What was wrong with the J. Cole album? You didn't like the music or was it a poor quality pressing?

Poor quality bootleg. I am a huge J.Cole fan, love the album.

This Born sinner bootleg is not very good. It is what it is, and it is a bootleg. Sometimes you hit on a good one, sometimes you don't.. :yeshrug:

The Van Zandt record is legit. Great record, great album. Got the 180g record, really cool listen..

It's a scam and is for the collector scum. I post on another message board and record store employees say they hate it because it brings all the obnoxious collectors (the ones who want records for novelty/exclusivity) and flippers. Stores make a lot of money on that day, but how many of those people are gonna return to the shop in the future? Probably a tiny fraction. A record store can't survive on profits from the two RSD that occur in the year. Small record labels get annoyed because all these RSD releases are causing big backlogs at pressing plants, too. The big labels get priority over the smaller labels because they are spending more money

Some of the stuff released is shyt no one wants or is totally unnecessary (eg., a limited colored press of something that is already widely available on black wax). That Pharcyde 7x7" box set with a CD and puzzle released a few years ago was so stupid. Why would I want an album spread over that many 7"s instead of a 2xLP that costs way less? It's all for novelty.

Most of the RSD releases are overpriced

im new to vinyl so this is my first official rsd (except for last years black friday) but it reeks of a scam. im only going into my local shop for because the internet and whatever else i find. but those "limited reissues" get the immediate :camby: not paying double for colored wax

Great post. But speaking of 7" box sets. They might be the worse thing ever created. I got drunk one night and ordered a record I liked off of discogs that I thought was a Lp. Turned out to be a 7" set. Might be the most useless record I have ever bought.
