I personally wouldn't do an hour commute just for cheaper rent. Unless your social life is closer to work or you really only go out on weekends. Then you're using more gas, quality of life suffers and an hour commute can turn into two hours if some shyt goes awry where as a 20 min commute doubled, is only 40 mins. You have to leave earlier for work and what if you work late?
