There's plenty of them. How about the fact that the general narrative is that the opposite sex can't be trusted at all? This goes for LSA as well. Or the fact that everyone is always trying to get over on a potential partner?

"Dating" these days is about who cares the least. 99% of the time one person is putting forth effort that isn't reciprocated and the other is getting an ego trip off of the notion that they're using someone while doing very little to deserve what they're getting. The lack of trust encapsulates the whole thing because its indicative of fear...people are afraid of being hurt so they try to dip their toes into the dating scene so if shyt goes sour they can claim that they didn't trust or care enough to begin with.

I think you even said a few posts ago to always have one foot out the door even lmao. Ain't nobody trying to really date one another anymore.

Turned my Do not disturb on and woke up to a missed call and text from my homeboy saying that he's into me. Definitely an OH shyt moment. I just saw him at a skate party on Saturday night and he kept telling people we were dating but I thought it was a joke. Only bad part is he used to mess with a close friend for years, she has since married but that's still mad awkward. Plus he didn't treat her all that well at the time.

The whole idea of "courting" is almost absolute. People don't really wanna fall in love or even be in a steady relationship anymore. That fear of rejection or being brokenhearted keeps people from finding happiness in relationships.

Plus people are too easily lead... Listening to people tell them love is for suckers.

I know this for a fact... Finding love at 16,25, and even at my age is hard and getting harder. So at this point I don't have one foot out the door. I've already packed my bags and left.
