I hate that I always give off a vibe like I'm criticizing people. Makes it real hard for me to reach out, don't quite seem to know how to sound more sympathetic instead of being tough all the time.

My close friend's drug use has been alarming me recently, and I've mentioned it over the past few months. It got a bit heated today, and he told me that it seems like I'm always criticizing him.

That's why I can't stress enough how important IRL social skills are. As you see on the internet, hell even here, attractiveness is the name of the game. All you get is a cute face, genital pics and some texted words. But conversation has a certain hidden vibe about it...you can find yourself vibing with someone you wouldn't have even expected to.
