Anyone been on Prozac before for anxiety? The side effects have been brutal so far :mjcry: it feels like it’s slowly helping but it has fukked my sleep.

yep, maybe like 15-20 years ago, couldn’t sleep even after 4 months , Went on lowest mg of Zoloft and only had to up it once

GAD sucks man. Everyone says don’t take meds but they don’t know how it feels to be anxious as fukk driving your own car thinking you’re messing up or that you hit something. :snoop:

I had to take off work today because I slept like 2hr and 30min. Only way I can get decent sleep is to take 1mg of Xanax but I hate having to use a benzos this much. Some of the other side effects have been slowly disappearing but the sleep issue is persistent. I can fall asleep, then wake up a couple hours with a super active brain and racing thoughts. And you’re right, panic disorder is fukking horrible. I had a really bad attack where my heartrate got up to 165bpm that set all of this off. I stopped smoking weed and drinking, everything until I get this under control. Just so difficult working a full time job and trying to deal with this stuff, but my manager has been super understanding and supportive, I work for a company that really cares for their employees, I’m blessed in that regard.

Amen and God bless your employer. Yea if it’s been 4-6 months, I would talk to your doctor about other options. I only take Xanax (couldn’t this last year because of pregnancy but it worked out because of lockdown) when I have to go to large gatherings like movies, concerts etc.

I’m glad you’re taking the right steps breh. Xoxoxo

in the next century we’re gonna be seen as savages sharing public commodes :scust:

I worked in a small healthcare analytics office that shared a building with other medical businesses. One of them hoes were a pill mill and we had to share the rest room with those public zombies! It wasn't too bad early in the morning but pretty much after 12pm I stopped using the bathroom. The days I had my period, I had to be very strategic. I can't do port-a-pots either.

What time of day are you taking the medicine? Maybe you can adjust some. Do you exercise? Maybe a nice workout close to bed time could help.

Me neither @Rawtid . I had never used one before before the night I got stuck in one at a county fair. Maybe summer of ‘97 or ‘98

:sadcam: No cell phones back then so I couldn’t call or use the light .

:wow: a piece of me died that night

Been taking it in the morning. The surging adderrall like energy has mostly subsided, and that’s the strange thing I do get tired at night, I don’t feel super energized right before bed and can fall asleep quite easily but its like once I hit REM sleep I wake up with strange thoughts and an energized brain, then have to take a Xanax to get back to sleep. I have been walking around my neighborhood and trying to workout more because previously I wasn’t at all. I really enjoyed the walk but then of course it’s been raining for the past two days.

Yeah when I was initially having the huge energy boost from the Prozac I noticed I would get some sensory overload when I’d go out, like I pulled into this massive crazy chaotic Chick-fil-A drive thru line and could feel myself start to panic, but think that’s just a side effect of the Prozac because I didn’t really have that issue with my anxiety before. I don’t seem to have the same crackhead like energy anymore so I’m hoping the sensory overload starts to subside as well as time goes on and my body gets used to it. Thanks for all your thoughts and input, much love y’all.
