Had to put my car in the shop. Last week, I came out of work and the battery was dead so, I had to get a jump. Few days later the engine light came on it was struggling to start up again. I hope this doesn't cost too much.

Sounds like it might be the alternator.

It was years years ago but I bought a used one for like 400. New can cost up to a grand

It's not the alternator. My service engine light is on and dude ran the scan and told me the exact code causing the issue as well as the part. I just forget the name of that shyt.
