Pero yo estoy con ella y tú estás con él
Sabiendo que yo siempre te voy a querer, yeah

@Rawtid can u help me miss? I feel like getting into the union was what i wanted. As a carpenter's helper I'll be working on high rises, bridges, airports and stadiums and it says that my work can range from oregon to montana to washington to idaho to alaska and 60 miles away theyll give me a per diem and cover ocer night expenses. 30 plus ppl interviewed and only 7 or 8 got accepted. The man that interviewed me was a carpenter then a foreman and then a superintendent of this company called Skanska, theyre the general contractors ( Build | www.usa.skanska.com)
He asked me what i wanted out of this. I told him to become a carpenter and then to become a foreman and then run my own company. Genuinely I do wanna do this shyt. He asked me about my education I told him i made it up to calculus but I got a D and I wasnt focused but I studied engineering and architecture in CC. But I left university bc it felt like my teachers and my peers were kids and I wanted to work on being a man, thats whats most important to me he told me later his job was building people now and gave me his card and told me to call him if I have questions and to speak with him if I see him on a job site... So I feel like he has faith in me oddly enough. Hes a union representative.
I just turned my military paper work in, but cant enlist until March. I was set on Military but now I'm feeling like well wait maybe i need to bask in this and I do get to learn about building and the plus is learning how to work on the GE Turbines and the pay is around 18-23 an hour initially and I've been broke most of my adulthood and now I have a chance to build in my environment and be single with no kids and invest my money. By my 30s I can be running million dollar projects if I stay focused and thats a blessing. I just want a bit of your advice
This is a turbine
And this is at work... Thats not me im behind the camera but we're putting joists in
While standing on them and top plates of framed walls

Which branch of the military were you considering? This is tough. I'm leaning more toward you going to the military, just because I feel the experience is invaluable. I don't know how strict the military is, but I'm sure you could keep up with the carpentry industry and turbines via news articles or something and revisit it when/if you become a civilian. Rape the government for everything they are going to give you by enlisting because as a single non-military person, you're going getting fukked in taxes.
I thin once you're out of the military, it would be easier as a veteran to gain access to the network and capital it would take to grown your carpentry business like you desire. You said you don't really like it so you may find interest in something else while in the service. Not the Army though, they suck and they will probably send you somewhere to blow up innocent children.[/spoiler]
